Hey guys, im new here.

Does anyone know of any good AM2 mATX boards for gaming out at the moment? I don't really need to overclock, but I want one with PCI-E so I am able to play the latest games.

Also, would it be better to go for an intel board than an AM2?

Cheers, Ga.

Yes, Intel Core 2 Duo is the best option right now. I'd get a Asrock Conroe945G and the Core 2 Duo CPU of your choice.

If you decide to go with AM2, the Abit NFM2 is a brilliant board and will allow a good overclock.

I have come up with a list of components I could buy, excluding the case and graphics card.

Is there anything I could change to lower my cost/get the most out of my money?

Save money on the PSU and get a Seasonic 430W. Or if you really want modular get the OCZ modstream 520W.

The rest looks good. What case and graphics card are you using?

Edit: welcome to the forums. :)

If you did decide to go AM2 the abit nF-M2 nView is good & overclocks very well.

It does look like a very good value PSU, but a bit overkill for this system I feel. Even 520W seems overkill unless he's using loads of disks and an 8800GTX. :)

Maybe he will decide to overclock !
