golf vr6 forced induction.

hey all, my mates got a golf vr6 and his mrs has just asked me to look into a supercharger or turbo conversion for it for his birthday.
gonna cost a lotta lotta money i know but can any of you guys point me in the right direction for a kit and also let me know what else needs to be done to the car.

ditch the hefty 6 and get a 1.8T

much cheaper conversion all round and damn are the tuneable

300 on stock internals is the norm

not mine else i would ditch the 6, personally i have two 1.8t, my lcr and the mrs audi quattro!
big v engines are awesome though, am currently tryin to find a v8 for me land rover!

my mate had an octy a fast one, i think it was a vrs, as standard it wasted my wifes audi...

my brother had a golf cabrio with a charged vr6 in it, a previous owner had it in some golf or vw magazine, was the cover car

needless to say, the thing was utter bonkers.

he sold the car after about 9 months i think, got fed up with the roof leaking and ruining the interior :/

Not golfs but corrados, there is a lot of info in there about forced induction and the pros and cons, well worth the read. Just remember that the rado is the 2.9 engine and the golf the 2.8.
