Wing Commander Announced for XBox Live

Wing Commander Arena is coming to Xbox 360 Live Arcade this summer, Electronic Arts has confirmed, following yesterday's ESRB outing of the game.

The Gaia Industries-developed 3D space combat title will sport a 16-player online multiplayer mode, and is being described as "an arcade-style experience" - whatever that means these days.

Sounds like another excuse for me to buy a XBox 360 over the other consoles. Let's hope it lives up to the expectations fans of the previous games will expect.

argh

i'm finding it harder and harder to say no to a 360, this could be one of the final straws.
I've been thinking about PC upgrade or 360 and hdtv and it's looking more and more like the 360/hdtv combo

It's beginning to sound like that unfortunately. I'm hoping for an epic space combat game.
