Does anyone care?

:p

There are indeed people who do care. :p

I, along with several others I've noticed, tend to bring up the issue of the "Member's Market [sic]" whenever one of these grammar threads is about, but nothing is ever done about it.

Regarding "Yates's", it is correct provided that the wine lodge is owned by one person named Yates. If it was owned by several people who all went by the name of Yates it would be "Yateses' Wine Lodge".

The general preference of "Jesus'" over "Jesus's" is a stylistic choice rather than being strictly related to grammar, as it is generally accepted that "Jesus's" sounds awkward. Both forms are, to my mind, acceptable however people tend to use "Jesus'" most often.

I thought the name Speaker's Corner was taken from the famous Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park, where the use of the apostrophe is presumably correct* because only one Speaker talked at a time?

*at least that's what it is on Wikipedia (or not actually, heh where did I see it as Speaker's, lol)

Besides, apostrophes will be redundant in a few years so it won't matter ;) :D
