Vista 64 bit questions

Am planning on dual booting with vista 64 bit and xp 32 bit.
the partition i am planning on installing vista on has a folder of about 200 gig of files music etc written by 32bit xp.if i do this vista won`t delete/ corrupt the folder will it?
anwill will i be able to read files created by one OS with the other
i.e.32-64 and 64 -32?
the both OS will be on separate partitions of course

Music/data doesn't have an address length, so you'll be fine. 9999999bit could still read it from 32bit XP.

just found a little problem,neither my scanner nor my printer have 64 bit drivers available

how much better/quicker is 64 over 32?
is it worth the hassle of having to buy new hardware just to get the 64bit version to work?(although i will be dual booting and could scan/print in xp)

well decided to install the 64 bit version,no sound,no printer,no scanner
apart from that it is working ok

hae to decide within the 30 day trial if i want to buy more hardware to get it to work 100%
