Protected TFT

I'm a clumsy expletive, and today I managed to put a small (but noticable and annoying dent) in my 17in Viewsonic (bought it a while back now but still, annoying!!).

I'm bound to do the same to any replacement, so can you guys reccomend me something that's "tough" or has some kind of screen over the screen?

I seem to remember the Xerox screens a few months ago had a glass cover???

Huh? I mean . . how . . . ? Can you not just add a filter screen to it. Im sure you can still get them.

get two tall tubes or sticks and mount them to the desk ether side like posts sticking up about 2 inches infront of the monitor, then put a layer of film used for wrapping sandwiches up across it verry tightly :cool:

probibly one of the lamest ideas ever but it would be a cheap resolution :cool:

lmao, thanks guys.

I'm thinking of just getting a cheap replacement off here (that widescreen 19inch one for something daft like £110) then getting some perspex.
