Both nice. The first one could maybe do with a bit more contrast in the foreground, but other than that its a nice shot. The second one, although again a nice shot, isn't quite as good imo. I think whats wrong with it is the line of rocks in the foreground. Because they go horizontally across the shot, they distract the eye from being led through the shot to the background.

Edit; Do like the B&W though. Im quite a fan of that type of hard, contrasty B&W, so top work there.

I love the first one, very nice. As already said, might want to wack it into Photoshop and try a few effects, abit of contrast changing etc would help a lot I think

Nice composition in both photos like the subtle colours in the first, any chance of seeing a colour version of number 2? The black and white looks good, but just interested to see what a colour version would look like.

the night I went up to saltwick bay - turned out to be misty, dull and overcast, there were no colours whatsoever The black and white is much better
