LED backlit displays will come, but, I suspect around the same time as Leopard.

Remember kids, before todays update, the MacBooks came out in November, and the MBP in October. :)

seeing as the PC world have moved to Santa Rosa why shouldnt we expect the same of apple?

oh hang on thats right apple are kings of putting old technology in a stylish box :D

Well so far its only MacBook with slight speeds bumps, 2.0Ghz and 2.16Ghz and 1 gig of RAM standard, also draft N wireless as standard. Hope thats not it for the updates today. No Santa Rosa yet.

Hope they bring out a new MacBook Pro too. I read on a few different sites they were updating the MacBook on Tuesday and they were right!

Love my MBP, no problems atall but id feel the need to upgrade if one came :( dam apple!

They are certainly due for an update though, I don't think it will be anything major, but they may well bring out the Santa Rosa chipsets very soon. I think any big changes will happen along with Leopard being released.
