Cars are necessary. Smoking is not.

Your argument is dumb

You haven't explained why it makes sense to have a full ban on smoking.

Your argument is incomplete and therefore dumb.

I can think of loads of other things that aren't necessary that could be banned like alcohol etc etc.. Should we ban those ?

Why?
Ok let me give a small explination.

I live and have grown up in an area were people ruin there lives because of alcohol.
I personally hate the taste of most alcohol and getting drunk doesnt interest me in all.
Alcohol causes people to do things that a lot of people wouldnt normally do.
Alcohol is usually involved in some way with a lot of road accidents.
People think alcohol isnt dangerous at all so they go out and over do it far too much.
Alcohol has been linked to cancers such as breast cancer.

I hate alcohol my self and would love to see it banned :)

But this thread is about smoking. Not alcohol or cars.

And i hate smoking more then alcohol :p

Ouch.... just over ten days now. It's the end of an era. Sorry for all you smokers whose rights are being withdrawn.

I don't think it would be such a big deal if there were a decent number of non-smoking pubs or restaurants. However, for some reason the market hasn't delivered such things. Most odd.
