Just spent 6 glorious days on the Isle of Skye - mainly taking photos all week. Here are the first batch from The Trotternish Ridge, North East Skye.

...............................

The Old Man of Storr - The Storr is a rocky hill on the Trotternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye. The hill presents a steep rocky eastern face overlooking the Sound of Raasay, contrasting with gentler grassy slopes to the west.
The Storr is prime example of the Trotternish landslip, the longest such feature in Great Britain.
The area in front of the cliffs of The Storr is known as The Sanctuary. This has a number of weirdly shaped rock pinnacles, the remains of ancient volcanic plugs. One of the most famous of these is known as The Old Man of Storr. (Source: Wikipedia)

The Quraing - The Quiraing is a spectacular landslip on the eastern face of Meall na Suiramach, the northernmost summit of the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye. The whole of the Trotternish Ridge escarpment was formed by a great series of landslips; the Quiraing is the only part of the slip still moving, the road at its base near Flodigarry requires repairs each year.

Nice nice nice! 1 & 6 are my faves, but they're all good and way better than anything I could take at the moment! (I'm new :) )

Some of those are perfect for some HDR trickery too (of course, if you bracketed the exposure at the time etc)

In general they look bloody good, but I think that some of the sky in the HDRs looks a bit too blown out for me. Number 10 really catches my eye, I think the composition is quite effective.

er, What HDR?

tis the work of the devil - if id wanted my shots looking unnatural and noisey i'd have bought a Nikon. ;) :D
