My spec is

AMD Athlon 64 4000+
(Running at about 2500MHz, 210MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, socket 939)

1536 MB DDR SDRAM

NVIDIA GeForce 6800 LE • Video RAM: 128 MB

Windows XP Home Edition

If you want to know more, let me know. I don't play games as much any more. I bought my pc in Jan 2005 (with 512MB RAM) and just wondered if there was anything I could to do make it better, particularly in the processor department. I am not unhappy with what I have now but my theory is that prices have gone down so maybe I can get something reasonably decent for my money now.

I am willing to make my budget size bigger but only if it's going to make a significant difference. If AMD don't start coming up with the chips it's looks like I will have to move over to intel as someone suggested
