Hi there.
I'm thinking about buying a new monitor to replace my cheap and old 17" TFT.
I'm looking at the 22" Samsung syncmaster 226bw.
Looking at the native resolution (1680 x 1050) for this I'm worried my hardware may struggle slightly. Ideally I want to run at this resolution. A question I have is if my hardware is struggling would games look poor/bad if I was to use 1280 x 1024 say on this monitor?
Current specs are:
-Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 mobo
-AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2.0ghz
-2gb Ram
-ATI Radeon X1800 XL 256mb
Everything is 1 and 1/2 years old.
I use the PC for a range of things - games, films & TV, software dev, etc.
I'm thinking weather or not I should upgrade the CPU or graphics card or not bother...
Any advice?
Cheers.
