Far far away....
Thanks, was a while ago now and time helps :)

I know what you mean but I'm an open person and wouldn't not post things just in case someone misuses the information. There were a lot of people here that I considered friends that I wanted to tell as well and being open and talking about it really helped at the time.

Also for some people it may be easier to talk about your issue to strangers, the anonymity of posting on here may facilitate that, it is not always what people say in return to you that helps, sometimes just being able to tell all is the healer.

That's sick Jodie, your posts and is it CliffyG (?) always bring a smile from me, can't see why anyone would want to be so horrid towards you.

I can't believe some people can be so horrid on a forum like this, which in the most part is a very pleasent.

Thanks, yep it's CliffyG :)

In all the years I've been posting here the vast majority of the time has been very good with lots of nice and genuine people.

I agree, it can be very therapeutic.

I remember that time Jodie when you received this email, shocking then and you just brought it back to me and it feels even more shocking as with this current incident?

One thing that never fails to amaze me is the fact that how people fall out over the internet - by opening another forum or these latest shocking events

Although this shows you one thing and that is OcUK is a big community and a much renowned and respected one!

Jealous also seems to affect people when respect and honour is shown to people who help so much on forums like this...

The police won't be interested in the slightest. The exact same thing happened to my mum today, the guy even gave her a name before threatening to kill her in her bed tonight and to 'get' me and my brothers and father. The police gave her a case number and told her to dial 999 if he turns up.

I know there's been various "issues" going on for a while, most of which I've put down to childish/petty behaviour etc. But this [the phone call] is way over the line, and in my view should be dealt with by the police as a criminal act (as it is), and throw the book at them.

I hope it gets sorted anyway

Just read the whole thread, Im shocked about what has happened here, really are some sick ***** about. I mean really the person that did this really needs a long hard think about where their life is going. Inexcusible. It's sad case of the Internet, but its normally the ones that have problems socialising and bring nothing but negativity that spoil it for others. Oh and Jodie im sorry to hear about what happened to you that's absoloutly disgusting . As for the Don in question I hope your Mother is not too affected by this. Someone has really overstepped the mark this time.

Abuse on the phone is bad enough, but towards your mum! Nut job tbh. Thats one of the reasons why my (home) number is ex directory and never give it out ever except to a select few friends. I take it that its been changed, they can do it withing 3 hours if you call in the moring (bt that is).

Waste of human life.

What was the caller hoping to achieve in all seriousness? His mother was hardly going to say "Thanks very much, I'll pass on your concerns"

...the fact that the woman is ill adds fuel to the fire

I hope you catch the user Spie, and I genuinely hope it gets dealt with swiftly (both on the outside, and on here) when you catch the loser.

Be interesting to see what the Law says about this as well.

Keep us posted.

This is SO far past the line that you can't even see it..

I hope the sick person that did this realises that one day, karma will be waiting round the corner with a piece of 2 by 4 with nails in, wanting to have a 'quiet word'!

Hope the don's mum is ok.

Cant this be locked now everyone has got the "OMGZ" out the way?

Staying open just means work for the Dons because its still gonna throw up the questions people are asking that are getting deleted left right and centre

They'll definitely know they rang the correct number now too.

As already been said 'What a ******!!'

And hope the Dons Mum is better soon.

Hopefully they should be able to get the number changed, is that something being looked at?

I can't believe someone would do that to someone else's mum. Would that person like it if someone called their mum and spouted abuse at them? I'm guessing they wouldn't and would be livid. Why can't some people these days have more empathy?

I agree with the karma comments as well.

Does make you wonder what Dons have done/said to enrage someone so much to do something like that? Ho hum, there are some sad sad individuals out there who really do take the cyber world far too seriously. Pathetic really.
