It seems for PC usage DisplayPort has got your back for many years to come.
It seems even the lastest 3080 cards still have one HDMI port (2.1) and three DisplayPorts.
My graphics card has three DisplayPorts and only one HDMI. You can deduce from this that they value DisplayPort more than HDMI on monitors.
