Oh **** not good. I only built my PC a year ago and put 64Gb in it. I wanted to add more as I am running a number of VMs (some of the time).
Yes I know its overkill but I had budgeted for another 64Gb. I really don't want to scrap what I have as they were a fair price and buy 128.
I hear...
I use gold.
Not really much difference in them.
I take it you are plugging in to the mains and not a clean power supply anyway.
Gold RM or RMX would do me
I have always bought Corsair.
Never had an issue and they have always out lasted my PC.
They are rated for about 100,000 hours which is about 10 years.
Im running a 3070ti in a new build.
It was the best card at the time that was within my budget. I aim to replace it when prices settle but for now I play at 1440p with settings on max and for my games its fine.
Actually I have the ti but I haven't even pushed it to its extreme yet. I think the most intense games I have played are GTA V Fallout 4/New Vegas and the Outer Worlds.
I do want to try FS2020 when that drops but so far im happy with it and 8GB is plenty for me.
Hi
I have spent ages wondering why my 4 month old 3070 ti suddenly started to not display from the display ports. HDMI was ok. I swapped cables and still no display. Eventually I put the original cable back in and wiggled it a tiny bit and the picture returned.
Is this a dodgy card or...
It depends on how close you are. For me I sit about 60cm away from the screen and 27" is just right. I found 32" like sitting in the front row of the cinema.
4K is nice for optimised games at 60fps but I don't just game so 1440p works well for non gaming apps.
In the end I went for a Samsung Odyssey 27". I sit fairly close to it and 32 would have been too in my face. Also 1440 is fine. 4K would have been too small for office work and windows. I know you can scale but it's not reliable and no gpu is up to 4k gaming yet. Also the manufacturer had it on...
Hi
Can anyone help.
I have a Crosshair Hero VIII with 3 NVMe m.2 drives.
Drive 1 - M.2 1
Drive 2 - M.2 2
Drive 3 - PCIe Card
I have GPU in pcie slot 1
nothing in pcie slot 2 as GPU is too close to it
nothing in the small pcie slot 3
M.2 adapter and nvme in pcie slot 4
Where do I go in the BIOS...
Hmmm your are probably right with read times. The odd couple of seconds is not goin* to be noticeable in real word terms on a home PC. But then again to have the ability to read data at lightening fast speeds it tempting.
