As above.
You shouldn't be having issues running memory at 3200MHz (XMP) on a B550 - but sometimes the CPU (IMC) or the MB (AGESA) can be fussy. As already stated a BIOS update should address the issue - regardless of compatibility list.
If it doesn't, alternate sticks at XMP and see if one...
As above.
I went to my local tile shop and found a tile that had virtually identical dimensions to the case. Had I not found this I would have used wood - as it's all about the airflow. But, certainly better than sitting directly on carpet.
You probably already know this. But, it's advisable to update the motherboard to the latest BIOS with new cards. Even the p67/z77 motherboards struggled with the 10 series cards on release - until the boards had a BIOS compatibility update.
For ref: My little girl ran an old Ivybridge setup until recently; coupled with a 1070 (1080p). The only reason she updated is that I upgraded my system to a 5800 so my son could have the 3700 - so I built her system around his old 3600 (confused? :)).
The main crux being, she was fine with the...
As above. I've been using this option for the past ~10 years to have more choices in cases and to keep my laptops lighter - for the rare occasion i use an optical drive.
MX4 is great - pea size blob on in the middle of CPU and you're away.
I have the same case. A black box of silence. I only added the one extra fan - and keeps cool and quiet (coupled with their cooler).
I'm sure you'll be very happy with speed difference - even the NVMe.
I can relate.
It's like the brain has to take a beat to process what it's 'not' observing. And once it has fully appreciated the visuals the optic nerve was frantically sending it then, as you correctly say, can't un-see it.
*Kinda hope no VA panel owners come across this thread. They may take...
I'll go one degree further.
Don't buy it.
My son wanted a 1080p monitor and was desperate when there was a shortage. I relented and bought an AOC VA panel (the IPS version was not in stock). I spent a week trying to get semi-representative colours - failed - but that was nothing compared to...
This is what I tried to talk my nephew into doing (As I did the same with my sons)...
...for pretty much the same reasons - plus, considerable drop in FPS in some of his shooters.
For ref: same motherboard I used in my kid's and nephew's builds. Great board when released and fulfilled its...
If resetting CMOS/battery change hasn't helped, I would try reseating the M.2 drive.
Is the system clocked? If it is I would reset to defaults, too. (I would do this before reseating M.2 drive for ease).
Agreed. Price to performance ratio - plus the resolution/quality and the competitive refresh rate when coupled cards such as the 6800XT make them the perfect combo.
I've used 1440p Dell Ultrasharps for years now (admittedly, i'm not a hard core gamer) - and am still impressed with the visuals...
Yep. Recently installed one into my nephew's Ryzen 3700x based system (soon to be a 5800). He felt he needed to jump from 1080p to 4K. I'm a bit like @tamzzy - he had a semi-decent AOC 1080p 144Hz monitor and the outlay for 4K seemed nuts, in comparison to 1440p setup, for a supposedly...
Hopefully, you'll be OK.
We only had an issue because we had a bottom drawer with an odd stopper design on it. It used the fridge lining, itself, to stop the draw from coming out. And with drawers made heavy with frozen food it creates quite a thump/force if 'someone' pulls the drawer out...
Hehe - they spend all that time gaming and then 'read' erotica/porn? They must have used up all their visuals stimuli gaming (unless I'm misinterpreting gamer speak).
*Joking aside, I did think your sig was a ref to something or tongue on cheek...
