I adjusted the fan profile very conservatively and now temps are 60-75 C and hotpoint clear below 90. Makes me more comfortable and with my case barely noticeable noise difference.
quick update, ended up picking up a brand new G6 Black Friday weekend for £80 and very happy I did. Virtual Surround Sound is a huge improvement over the Essence STX card. Music and everything else is at least same level. Thank you for the recommendation!
Hi,
quick question (did search so apologies if this is a duplicate) received my pre built system with 5800x paired with 6800XT. Under load are temps of 75-80 C on gfx card and 95 C on hotpoint normal? Its the hotpoint that makes me question things
Quick note, everything at stock, including fan...
Another one to consider if you thinking ultra wide. Acer Nitro XV340CKP
very good reviews https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/acer/nitro-xv340ck or here https://www.displayninja.com/acer-xv340ckp-review/
added wrinkle if you look around can be found for under £500 as part of black Friday
Hi,
the product spec pages say card is almost 50cm long is that correct? This will eliminate majority of cases.
I got a bequiet Dark Base 700 and am now concerned that i can fit a card
None of the reviews say anything about size or it being a concern
anyone know?
Hi,
as per title can you properly drive Beyerdynamics DT880pros (250Ohm) with the Sennheiser EPOS GSX 1000 Gaming Headset Amplifier. Games via virtual surround and music / movies etc.
on various internal sound cards you can see in the specs something like "600Ohm Amp" but cant find anything...
I am currently using an Essence STX1 on X370 mobo paired with my DT880pro's. I am going to pass this rig on my daughter for minecraft etc and build a new rig from the ground up. Staying with team red on CPU side.
I am reading horror stories on drivers and compatibility for X570 / B550 boards...
exactly this, so many boards just look "ugly". I know its all subjective, for me the dark hero looks clean and premium and what i'd want to see in a windowed case. So many X570 / B450/550 boards are "IMO" just ugly.
Well for one, for future upgrades, its seems a much easier process for me to remove the cooler and swap a new CPU in than have to uninstall and swap my mobo, but i guess individual mileage may vary.
Again I am only guessing here, but the B450 were released with the ryzen 1xxx CPUs and we’re now...
I am genuinely curious why so many people recommend spending almost £300 on a CPU and then opt for a B450 Mobo for £95?
Wouldn’t an X470 or x570 board be the better, safer and more future proof choice? Easier to change a CPU then to swap a motherboard.
I was in the same boat. My 950XL went into a perma boot loop no matter what tried. I ended up going with the OnePlus 5T.
MS made it very easy to transfer all your stuff i have opted for the MS launcher, but not (yet) the Metro UI app.
The MS launcher brings all the structure of the Winmo OS...
Sapphire and Gigabyte standard versions now sold out only Powercolor left. Glad i purchased my Gigabyte as soon as the sale went live.
Quick note, limited edition is running low on stock and so are the LCs. Better not wait to long if you're on the fence.
AIB or not, no way the 1070ti is...
I decided not to wait for Vega AIB once i saw the price of the Powercolor one. No chance. Got myself a reference Vega64 in the ongoing Black Friday sale. Happy days!
Hi,
Just jumped in and got myself a Gigabyte Vega64. Read somewhere i need to download drivers via Gigabyte website rather than use AMDs direct? That correct or bogus?
thanks
