    Advice on the following build.

Thank you for the detailed information. Gives me a lot to ponder. The reason I thought about going for the Max rather than the standard NR200P is the change in internal layout, I've read that the NR200P (non max) means you have to put the AIO rad along the bottom which is not ideal at all, as...

I get you, but I quite like the brown. I most likely will swap out the stock fans for the aio in the max for some brown noctuas

    Advice on the following build.

Yer I'm trying to way up if I actually need a 4090, I currently own a 32 Gigabyte M32Q. I know that a 4090 would be massive overkill for this monitor at the moment.

    Advice on the following build.

Sounds about right. I've decided to go down the none custom loop route. I'm putting it all in a Cooler Master NR200 Max, which includes an aio and an 850 watt psu. This is what I'm going with now. My basket at OcUK: 1 x AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core 5.00GHz (Socket AM5) Processor - Retail...

    Advice on the following build.

To be honest the more I've looked into water cooling, the more I'm put off, initial price cost is one thing, but then the on going maintenance. Though I didn't know that adding a GPU block would void the warranty. I've decided to not go down the watercooling route.

    Advice on the following build.

So I've come in to some cash and need a new computer. I've always wanted to go either high power small footprint or full water cooled loop. I'm looking for something which will be close to sff as possible as I want to have it sat on my desk and desk space is at a premium. Currently I have a...

    Upgrade advice

Looking to upgrade my ageing gaming pc, and wanting to try and take advantage of the black Friday deals. I play a lot of cities skylines 1 and 2, total war type games. How does this look? My basket at OcUK: 1 x AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core 5.00GHz (Socket AM5) Processor - Retail (SKU...

    Finally upgrade time

I've had heard that most MSI x570 boards were rubbish, however most of the posts on this forum do state that the tomahawk was a good board. The one thing that seems to be an issue is the vrm cooling being a solid block rather than fins. Though thinking realistically, my use case isn't likely to...

    Finally upgrade time

I have had my last rig for 10 years, I had planned to upgrade last year but that had to be put on hold due to being made redundant (thanks covid), but now I'm back. I have the following in my basket and could do with some advice. I'm currently running intel i5 2500k, Vega 56, 16Gb DDR3 memory...

Advice for a new AMD board

My current board is an MSI, it's been great for the last 10 years, though when I started looking back in june, I saw a few reviews saying that their offerings in X570 were not great, but I don't think the tomahawk was out at that point.

Advice for a new AMD board

Advice for a new AMD board

Thanks for the response, I thought the B550 and X570 support zen 5000 out of the box and that BIOS flash back was handy on B450 and x470 boards?

Advice for a new AMD board

Hi all, I haven't brought a mobo in the last 10 years, and since then a lot has changed. Which out of these motherboards are the best to get for the new 5000 ryzen series? I know that some of these have Wifi and currently I don't really need Wifi as the computer it would be going in is...

    Classic Car Owners

Hi all, Having only just found this part of the forum, I was interested to see how many members here own a classic car? Here is my Triumph Herald 13/60, I've owned it since 2018, currently working through a rebuild which had been put on hold this year due to being made redundant, however I...

    My first monitor

Thanks for the detailed respone, my GPU is currently a vega 56, though I'm looking to upgrade my pc come november time so that will change, which could be green or red, I have read that most of the more recent freesync monitors also now support gsync in one way or another. I'll have to have a...

    My first monitor

Ever since I built my first pc I've been using a 22" 1080 monitor which was given to me by a friend, how ever like a lot of people I am now working from home. 22" was alright for the games I play, (RTS like CoH, FPS like Destiny 2 and City sims) how ever I am finding that it's just not wide...

    10 year upgrade

Yep, I know it's a long wait and I'll most likely be changing some of the components as by that time ryzen 4000 will hopfully be out.

    10 year upgrade

Update on this project. I have finally been given the green light from my better half for this, however due to the world wide situation I have had to put this on hold. I will be looking into this again around black friday time. :)
