If you plug it in as a data drive and create your placeholder partition (Win7 > drive management) it'll set the correct alignment. Then pull out old HDD, put SSD as primary boot and tell your imaging software to use that partition without destroying it.

@ OP: Scaling looks about right, this is 3 x F3s: Good for games / video processing etc, but they resonate annoyingly in this particular case, ditching them all once Intel's G3 hits!
