ITX case that can take a 4 slot GPU

Sure, but with hardware now getting bigger and/or running hotter, ITX just doesn't scale to it I don't think. There are definitely smaller cases, there are bigger, but what's the point of going for a small case and having to limit hardware performance because of heat? Undervolting is a thing...

ITX case that can take a 4 slot GPU

I moved from the NR200P, which could take a 3-slot card, to the Lian Li Air Mini. Yes it's a bigger case, but it does scale well from ATX down to ITX and isn't actually that large in practice. I looked at it as having all the flexibility I wanted for the current build (an MATX board and 4080FE)...

I have a similar setup (IKEA drawers and a solid oak 2m kitchen worktop). The little rubber pads referenced above have worked a treat for stopping movement. I got a cheap set from the river named online store and they've done me well. Recommended to avoid any drilling

    Corsair ICUE (Or Similar)

I agree completely. Commander Pro is an excellent bit of kit. Also works with any fan, which helps. The newer corsair stuff is very cool, but then you are locked in to their fans and other bits...

Pension fund performance - do you monitor yours, how is it doing, do you actively change it?

I monitor mine on a quarterly basis for valuation, though my FA deals with the management according to my risk profile. Over the 7 years I have been tracking, it's at 104% growth, which is not bad all told I guess (will be a while before I need to use it after all). My main pension is...

    Whamageddon - who's still in?

By the rules, still in. But I did hear the damn song in November... So this is a tenuous still in at best

Not sure about this one, but I got mine from Worktop Express as well. Solid oak, 2m length. Cracking quality and definitely recommend

I once had freshly ground and roast (that day) Blue Mountain coffee whilst on the side of that actual mountain. That it was in a styrofoam cup did not detract from it being amazing coffee

mATX or small case for WC build

The really useful addition I got for mine is raised feet to increase the spacing for the bottom fans to get air in. That's the theory at least.

mATX or small case for WC build

I have an Air Mini on an mATX board with an ATX power supply in it and an air-cooled 4080. There's so much more room for more stuff if I cared to put it in. Definitely recommended for a smaller, but fully formed, water-cooled build

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Yep, me too. Works like a charm and no issues. I got the braided one and it's very easy to bend without causing issues.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

My 4080FE tops out at 65c (playing Starfield) in a Lian-Li Air Mini. That's with a temperature in my office of 32c at worst (been hot down south recently). It has a tendency to run in no fan mode a lot, which speaks to the cooler being decent, at least to me. Usually it runs at under 60c playing...

Images of items I have purchased (except trainers)

Bought a 1tb Crucial P3 and a PCI-E to NVME converter to fill the second slot on my mATX board. Tiny little thing, but the drive runs at its rated Gen4 speeds, so all good. Under £50 for the lot is even better

    RTX 4080 Trinity + Phanteks Eclipse P400A

The Zotac website suggests the card is 150mm or so high, and the cast is 220mm wide. Assuming some space at the back taking some of that width, I still thing you've got enough play in it. I have a corsair 12vhpwr cable on my FE, and because it's braided there's plenty of space for a bend without...

    RTX 4080 Trinity + Phanteks Eclipse P400A

The case supports up to 420mm of GPU according to OCUK. The GPU is 356.1mm according to Zotac. That leaves you ~60mm for radiators and/or fans in the front. So I would assume plenty of space. The GPU should have enough space to breathe in there, even assuming that PSU cover in that case as...

    New functional case needed.

I guess it would fit, you're right, but cable management would be a bit more painful and the side intake/exhaust area would be unusable. Still plenty of fan space though. To be honest, outside of the NR200P, it's pretty much my favourite case ever. So very versatile. My 4080 runs so well in it...

Oh I freely admit my experiences are limited. I also admit that I have little to no interest in the PU, so have not allocated much time to it. However, based on my experiences, I am disappointed, which I think is a reasonable reaction. All of the things you list sound lovely, I hope someday I...

Avoidance of a circular conversation, sure. They are ultimately a waste of everyone's time. If you like the game in the current state, great. I don't. Do I hope it gets to a point where I want to play it, yes. Am I going to check in on it and install it periodically, absolutely. Is it where...

So effectively, because I haven't logged hours on an unfinished alpha with performance issues I'm not allowed any opinion that isn't positive? Or I'm wrong despite logging into the PU every few months, seeing the same problems then moving on? How delightful to know that now. Thanks folks
