I tried it this morning before the patch, was 10 fps in menus and 20ish in game, I'll go get it now and see if any difference, that's on a 7800x3d, 4090 etc

Ray reconstruction gives shinier puddles, but screws up textures on faces and introduces so many artifacts to the world, I can see how it will be great once sorted but at present the benefits don't outweigh the ghosting and reduction of texture quality, small items blur in and out and weapons...

Look for a system called charybdis, a good hidden extra.

If you are short on credits you can sell all the misc stuff on your ships cargo hold, and it will magically reappear after landing again or logging in and out etc.

I went with the corsair shift 1000 for the same components a few months back, comes with a decent cable for the 4090 too.

Finally got a ship built on The Red Mile base, 900 contraband cargo @ 69% and a **** load of weapons. 6 crew and a couple of passenger slots to boot.

So I started with the ship builder last night after the last dog walk around 10ish, nearly 1am and was still faffing around, I'll try again today.

There is a free DLSS Frame Generation MOD on Nexus too for those interested, downloaded but not installed yet as popping out for an hour, but it has both Store/Xbox and Steam versions available.
