If you could afford it 42 or 46" plasma?

Go for the 80 if its style doesnt bother you. In reality it looks cheap and nasty compared to the 85 (imho). This is the silver bit at the bottom. Although IFC is a bit of a gimmick, it is meant to work on HD material, but can have negative effects elsewhere. Also, if you go for an 80 then...

    very low power machine

Sorry for the delay. I use linux and all i actively do power management wise is spin down my storage drives (idle i use a shade un der 30w) The board despite its claims, doesnt use 6w. Idle with no disk is about 21W. I used to get lockups but found they appear to be heat related, so i just have...

    very low power machine

I just bought a power meter to test out my 24/7 box. It claims to be 35w idle with 1 x 2.5" and 2 x 3.5" disks. this is based on a Jetway JF4 board. Im happy with that until i can work out how to do some better power management in debian. Without the hard drives the board is <20W

They beauty of hellanzb is that you dont need to do anything. It runs as a daemon and at a basic level all you need to do is pop an nzb in a folder and it will do the rest, from download to check to extract. The web interface means i can do it from work/other location just by queuing up an nzb...

Hi I currently have a small home server running gentoo and hellanzb. I was thinking of trying out Windows Home Server for no reason other than just trying it. I wondered if there was anything similar to hellanzb for windows as this is the only thing holding me back atm. Im basically looking for...

    Help with a HTPC build

The Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H should cope well with 1080p content from a file on hard disk. I think with higher bitrate content from HDDVD or BluRay you are looking at needing 3ghz+ CPU. The board has integrated HDMI and looks to be a pretty solid board. The CoreAVC comment is a good one, but it...

    Stupid question about a job

If you didnt get the job then pestering them wont cause a problem. If you did get the job, and for some reason missed the call, then calling back would be a :) situation for all.
