    Show us your home lab

Suprisingly not a lot. The top DL360 Gen9 is my main proxmox server, which runs everything I need bar Plex (unifi network controller, pihole, nextcloud, netboox.xyz, lancache). It has 256GB RAM and 8 1.92TB SSDs. The next three I want to test out proxmox high availability, just not had the...

    Show us your home lab

Not even half of it. Planning to downsize the "active" homelab to the R730XD and the 4x flash arrays. The R730XD has 1TB RAM. The four flash arrays, is a total of 184TB of raw storage. Don't get me started on the spinning rust, it's over 2PB raw.

Reset everything, pull cmos etc and then turn it on. Note down the LED flashes on the front, both white and orange and then lookup the error on "A Reference Guide to the Dell OptiPlex Diagnostic Indicators"

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Funnily enough we did the same, as ours went up to the same amount. Contacted Wessex Water, who came out and had a look at our mains feed and said we needed a new entire section of pipe to fit the meter. Two days later, they came out and it's all sorted. i think a grand total of 6 days between...

    Baltimore Bridge

There was a construction crew on the bridge when the ship struck. The flashing yellow lights just to the right of the centre of the bridge are the construction crew.

    Baltimore Bridge

Yeah on the last clip, I think it's the angle where it looks like they've gone out before it's struck, once it hits they go out.

    Baltimore Bridge

It looks like the lights went off on the ship just before it hit the bridge. On the live stream you can see construction lights on the bridge, and there are reports of 20 people unaccounted for.

What "man jobs" have you done today?

Like a lot here, mowed the lawn, and generally tidied up the garden. It's amazing what cutting the grass and generally tidying up the garden does to its appearance

This is getting ridiculous (energy prices - Strictly NO referrals!)

Got everything done today, seeing as tracker was 11p. Goes up slightly tomorrow but still nowhere near what I was paying before tracker. I've estimated i've saved at least 40% just by being on tracker.

16-21 days in Canada - hit me with it!

My 2p from when I visited last May. Vancouver is brilliant, such a nice city, if you get the chance to go. Lots to see and do. Granville Island is fantastic, lots of food on offer. Stanley Park is huge, but the seawall walk is a good way to waste a few hours. Whale watching boat trips...

My Octopus Mini should be arriving soon, however not sure how much benefit I'd get from it, I do keep an eye on the smart meter and I know now what causes it to move from orange to red on usage.

This Instant And Moment - 2024!

So the MM access has now been locked down, but it seems everyone has lost it by the look of the little red marks :D And as soon as I post that the mark disappears!

My Smart Energy Here, just pick your "area" and it will give you the price for tomorrow. Its not affiliated with Octopus but it has been correct for me 100% of the time. It usually updates at around 12:30ish. You can also see all the different tariffs that Octopus do, including Agile.

Looks like I'll be doing everything I had planned to do today, tomorrow. Octopus's electricity tracker price tomorrow is 12p/kWh.
