I'm at a bit of a loss, windows prompts me if I want to accept the drivers as they are not signed. But then the device still shows as having no drivers in device manager. I've booted with the f8, disable driver certificate checks and it still doesnt work. :(

So task manager is wrong then? ;) As smooth as you need for surfing the web/watching youtube. Surely that's the whole point of multiple cores and good task switching. XP will prioritize applications so that despite being at full load everything still gets the time it needs to be responsive...

Well I just tried some generic ddr2 and a P4 prescot 2.7 skt 775 in the mobo and I'm still getting the same symptoms. Powering on and then turning on and off after several seconds. Looks like it's a dead board :( Gonna have to get on the RMA.
