    Garden rebuild.

Some gardening updates... I've potted some plants in the greenhouse a few weeks back.....they have started to grow! Soon I'll be sorting out this small patio area, been neglected for a few years since the wall was built. Dig it out, sort some draining. Fill up and top with a nice stone...

I see we gained two new runners on the league over the past few days. Bumped me 2 places down the average table.

Starlink Gen 1 Router with Mesh Wifi

I understand that, but the ssid the mesh is using shouldn't stop it from doing it's "tech" stuff?

Starlink Gen 1 Router with Mesh Wifi

If you cant disable the SL wifi or =do anything with the config. Why not leave it running the lan and leave it's wifi on.....then configure the tp link with the same wifi ssid & password as the SL. That's what i'd do.

    Solar panel production figures

My solar guy said this when doing my new install. Said buy these panels now as they are "small" and wont be available any more. Due to roof constraints having the small pannels would give me more KW up there vs. trying to fit some 450w panels.

I've 16 x 250, south facing. Installed in 2012. In 2023 I added 15 x 370. 7 east, 7 west and 1 south. In Jan and feb the original system was out performing the new. Now the new wins. I hope to hit 60 units on a big day. That should be a 25old/35new split.

Map A Drive on a Different Subnet

That should work yes. Turn off DHCP on the asus router and connect it lan port to lan port with the HH5. Unsure if the VPN will get upset. Maybe set the asus up as the master router in your lan and have the HH as the slave?

Map A Drive on a Different Subnet

Yeah, bridge mode if possible. Sometimes I give them a fixed ip outside of the 1st routers dhcp range and make sure dhcp is turned off. Can daisy chain them all day long then and they are all on the same ip range.

Not saying this is happening here but I often come across daisy chained domestic routers used to extend wifi coverage. Lan port to > wan port etc. Before knowing that's happening it's great fun trying to remotely diagnose WTF is going on.
