AMD RX 590 & VEGA 64 NOW COME WITH THREE FREE GAMES & REDUCED PRICES ON RTX SERIES CARDS!!

It was the 28th that I contacted AMD support advising that my code didn't work, they asked for a copy of the Overclockers invoice and print screen of the email that contained the code. I sent that to AMD on the 28th too. If it ran out of the 30th then it's their fault for not getting back to me...

AMD RX 590 & VEGA 64 NOW COME WITH THREE FREE GAMES & REDUCED PRICES ON RTX SERIES CARDS!!

When did the Strange Brigade offer expire? AMD are saying the code I got is invalid and the offer has expired. I can't find anything on the AMD rewards page about it, despite AMD support lecturing me on checking terms and conditions of the offer before buying :( Edit - I just checked and Strange...

I hope it's the fix you need. As far as the short only happening when you first turn it on. It may be that the connection causing the short is not actual contact but arcing over a tiny distance, and when the pc is trying again it doesn't have the initial surge to cause the arc. Total layman's...

It can be a short. I had this recently (powers on, flips off prior to post, comes back on fine), it was the mobo shorting on the case. I was using the mobo screws from the previous case instead of the ones that came with it. Plus one of the pre installed risers wasn't tightened properly so was...

Need help, pc won't post after new PSU and case

I'm pleased to report all is indeed fine now. I removed the motherboard from the case and checked the pre installed risers, which were all correct, I was half expecting there to be matx risers too, but only the atx ones were there. I've put it all back with only just enough tightness to ensure...

Upgrade for optimal TWW2 performance, budget £1700

My son is looking to upgrade his mobo/CPU/ram/GPU for maximum performance in Total War Warhammer 2. All other components are sound: Case: Corsair 780T (new) PSU: Seasonic 750W (new) More storage than necessary lol I'm not up to date on release schedules so I'm not sure what is around the corner...

Need help, pc won't post after new PSU and case

Thanks, that might be it as the case comes with pre installed risers so there might be some in the wrong places. I should have checked. For the moment it is running as I used the acrews that came with the case rather than the ones from the old case. I'll check for rogue risers tomorrow. Top...

Need help, pc won't post after new PSU and case

You're correct, it works fine if isolated from the case. What's the prognosis, is the mobo incompatible with the case? Can it be fixed? Edit, thanks so much for the quick and spot on reply. Sorry, was so elated it actually stayed on I forgot my maneers

Need help, pc won't post after new PSU and case

My son got a new case and PSU, and I've finished transferring to the new case. But now the pc won't get past post it seems. Lights up and fans spin for a few seconds and then it powers down and tries again. I've gone through everything, disconnected till it's just the mobo, CPU and PSU but same...

Son has savings and Chrimbo money, upgrade advice gratefully received

I'm recommending to him that he gets a full tower for future proofing. Any concerns regarding this case? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/in-win-707-full-tower-black-red-ca-051-iw.html

Son has savings and Chrimbo money, upgrade advice gratefully received

Current PSU and CPU cooler are both good. I didn't think about resale value on the MM, and I can front him the money in the mean time while the components sell. So Danny's recommended build looks really appealing, especially if we can stretch the budget a bit to get him a better case, something...

Hi Andi, Mobo: MSI Z77A-G43 Ram: 16gb geil black dragon ddr3 (4x4gb) CPU: i5 3570k Case: falling apart, was so cheap I can't remember the brand lol

Son has savings and Chrimbo money, upgrade advice gratefully received

Hi all, my son has 500 quid and is looking to make a mobo/ram/CPU/case upgrade. He's got a 280x GPU which he's going to upgrade at a later date (doesn't seem to struggle with 1080p gaming, it's been a great card). He plays mostly RTS and strategy games (TWW2, Stellaris etc) and while he may well...

** The AMD VEGA Thread **

I still say it's too early to draw any conclusions. The entire spectrum of outcomes is still possible. Some way more likely than others, I hope it's surprising in a good way. Bizarre though, the lack of any damage limitation given the FE reviews. If I recall correctly AMD were doing a load of...

    Stardew Valley on Steamlink

:D lol. You could take it in turns to do a day. Or a level of the mines. Good luck. I don't envy you, sounds like row territory. I hope I'm wrong :)

    Stardew Valley on Steamlink

I've played a lot of Stardew Valley via steamlink. Works flawlessly with controller or kb/m. It's more satisfying with kb/m, as you get a bit more control over the tile you are working on, with controller you have to walk up to the tile. With kb/m you can activate all 8 tiles surrounding you...
