ah that make sense. the backplate is EK, so i'm hoping they have made a good design lol, Been looking around on the net and it seems to be a very common problem after installing a backplate. that the thermal pads might not be making the right contact via to much/little when screwing it back...

No I haven’t overclocked it. I like that theory. Yeah if I reduce my fps limit down it gets quieter but I game at 4k 144hz so downing the doesn’t feel as smooth!.

Not really, it's 3 years old come October. It's been running 3700x @ 4ghz @1.1v 2080ti never been overclocked. 3 SSD and custom waterloop.

Are my temp ok? I'm running a full custom water loop. 2 x EK PE 360 rad for my 3700x (4ghz @1.1v) and 2080 ti at stock. My temps are; CPU 35'c idle and 65'c at full load. GPU 27'c ideal and 45'c at load. I would have thought my CPU temps would be a bit lower at full load with a custom water...

Hi all, Just a quick one. I've notice some green gunk build up in the cpu block, please see picture attched. Gpu block is fine for what I can see. I've only had this loop running for 6weeks, I added the silver coil to stop any build up and used deionised water. Any reason why?. '][/URL]
