    Ryzen 2600 vs i5 8400, intresting reults

Let all stop arguing and relax to some beats along with humbug. :D

    Delidded CPU's

Silicon Lottery claim all their delidded 8700k chips can do 4.9+, so no, it seems nothing is actually "binned", but your still paying a huge premium (+£200) for the worst tested (4.9) chips :D

    Ryzen 2600 vs i5 8400, intresting reults

A Coffee Lake Quad at 5ghz is bad for anything above a 1050ti? :D

    Ryzen 2600 vs i5 8400, intresting reults

To be fair, it's a better comparison to use current prices from "whole of market" (trusted retailers) to gauge value, for some reason ocuk seem to compete more with prices on current AMD than current Intel CPU's. Sure it makes AMD look better value, but it does skew the real picture a little...

    Ryzen 2600 vs i5 8400, intresting reults

£147 for the 8400 vs £194 for the 2600x, hardly "almost the same price", but what it is "almost the same price" is the 8600k at £200.

    Ryzen 2600 vs i5 8400, intresting reults

More like 700-800mhz vs the 2600 OC and I believe higher IPC too. As such in most of the situations I mentioned (mmorpg's, badly optomized games) it should be a lot better. "Games" is a wide area, not everyone wants to play the latest FPS games. Comparing a 8350k to old i3 dual cores is...

    Ryzen 2600 vs i5 8400, intresting reults

We'll from trusted retailers the i5 is currently £147 (has been under 150 for months), while £167 is the best for the Ryzen. If using max overclocked figures to compare, it would make sense to show results for the i3-8350k overclocked (also aorund £150). I imagine the 8350k OC would thrash...

That is if it has actually been "RMA'd" I guess...

    Ryzen "2" ?

The 8 Pack RAM I bought new was also not sealed properly... but it works so I'm happy with it, weird though.

    Delidded CPU's

That may be true, but the pre-binned 4.9 to 5ghz chips we are talking about require "1.35-1.425v", so not exactly low :D

    Delidded CPU's

OEM chips I believe, so the real "premium" is more like £250+... it's a shame ocuk have gone so umm "branded" with their OC items, as I too would have prefered to buy pre-delidded or an oc bundle.

Looking for a decent & modular option.

PSU Quality is the main thing really, I would suggest that unless you plan for some sort of extreme build / high end SLI, then 650w will be fine now and in the future. For my PC I've recently bought a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 650w (was from ocuk at £79.99 delivered) and have been pleased with...

Looking for a decent & modular option.

Hi, what I mean is what on earth do you plan on putting into that case that will need 750+watts? :D A decent 650w will be more than enough for a rig using a 1080ti for example.

Looking for a decent & modular option.

Why would you want "750w and up" for that case?

Please help me decide... its all getting out of hand...

I'd go with the Samsung 970 Evo 500gb personally, but I prefer max speed and don't use all that much storage really.

Buyers beware. Micro SD card scams.

Sounds like a genuine chap to me, ebay resellers get burnt too and it sounds like he has been. Personally I would rather give someone like this benefit of the doubt and be wrong, than screw them for a genuine mistake that has already cost them. As I would hope others would treat me were I the...

    Team Group Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black

This OCUK's forums, if they test the ram and find no issues (i.e. I dount they test it using actual gaming), send them here to look through everything you have tried with this RAM and all your posts. Refusing to RMA them after all of this would make them look bad, so I doubt they would.
