Looking at other builds on here it appears I may have mine in the wrong slots, or does it not matter which you use?

Are your memory sticks in the wrong slots or are the slots the other way round from other boards?

No don't stick with air cooling if you want a silent PC, on stock settings my PC is totally silent, so much so it makes less noise than my PS2. Result Doesn't cost the earth and makes overclocking much more fun!

It is generally recommended to not have your FSB any higher than you need....just stresses the mobo needlessly!!!!!!!!!

It would seem that you have intel speed step set to 'on', go into bios at boot and disable. Take mem off auto so that you can set your memory speed. Go into 'chipset' -> 'northbridge' and set your ram to manual settings and change to 4.4.4.15. up your memory voltage to 2.1ish.

Why not just buy the swiftech apex ultima kit....everything you need and good quality bits?
