    New build crashing - i9 13900KS 4090

This seems to have done the job, any reason why this is causing an issue? would you recommend trying e cores back on? Thank you both for the input. Regarding the mem volts I'm not 100 % sure on how to do this so will do some research. Thank you both and Merry Xmas!

How much is your water bill?

£63 a month with no meter - 2 adults, 2 children. At our old house (8 miles away) we was paying £240 (metered fresh and waste water charge) every 6 months so think we are overpaying slightly.

    Is Internet speed now oversold?

We have the top package from Trooli (fttp) works out 1000/300 and pay £68 a month. Internet is reliable and no need for a phone line so not much different than we was paying for 150 MB Gfast. Do we need it? probably not but its keeps them (misses & kids) all happy

Any plumbers? Why do CH pumps fail?

You can test if the capacitor has failed (Without a microfarad tester). Plug the pump in with the volute / housing disconnected - If the pumps hums but fails to start give the impeller a flick with a screwdriver and if it runs you have a faulty capacitor. If you have a microfarad tester -...

    Upgrading sons PC

Still looking at the spec listed by Joxeon, got a bit side tracked yesterday so haven't ordered yet. Is it worth upgrading the graphics card or should the 1080 Ti still be fine? Cheers Jon

    Upgrading sons PC

Hi 4K8KW10, No I would like to change the current board and am happy to proceed with the above recommended. Is the above future proofed enough to allow just a standard CPU / RAM upgrade in future? Regards Jon

    Upgrading sons PC

Hi Joxeon, Thank you for taking the time to put together the above. Regarding the CPU will this be a better bet than an Intel (i7-10700K)? Thank you in advance. Jon

    Gfast constant drops

Had the same issue, was eventually fixed by replacing one section of the line as it had 1000's of errors. Has been reliable since

    Does ping vary from ISP

I believe you will get lower pings with FTTC I'm yet to see any virgin user with a sub 10 ms trace route without lots of jitter. If you want a stable connection i would go with fttc provider. (been with virgin media 350mb in the past)

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

if your lucky! Switched from GFAST with bt back to sky for fttc (80 MB) - still interleaved after 7 weeks. ( i was on fast path and synced at 80mb prior to the gfast switch).

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Hi MissChief, I wouldn't try GFAST again as openreach are unable to fix my disconnections, I have had 6 engineers out been told twice its been fixed yet i still suffer with disconnections 3 - 4 times a day. Hoping the fttc will be a lot more reliable as i previously had no problems with...

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Hope they sort it out for you, really feel your pain on the Gfast front. So Sky take control of my line and there FTTC service starts on Monday so my GFAST nightmare disconnections is hopefully over.

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Yes it is slightly worrying - more so the boost engineers that attended all have no idea how to fix the problems and said its all new to them! One engineer seemed the better of the bunch but still unable to fix even after moving the port i am on and telling me it was all sorted :rolleyes...
