I have a 3070 so it does struggle in 4k so I am debating if I should upgrade or not..problem is there are so many cards I'm not even sure what's the next best GPU that's got a good price/performance ratio..
Haha I have a SSD as a primary, secondary is a slow HDD where I store my games/data and that's like 6 years old so that will be used as data and SSD for the shiny new games :)
Thanks for the help mate appreciate it!
Ah right I searched another thread here that linked a techpowerup review for the SN770 and it rated it highly with some good performance. I'm leaning towards that unless there's a better one under £150 for 2TB?
Yeah so I have a spare Gen 4 M2 slot. So it would make sense to use it. Interesting that's a good point.
Are there any good budget dram gen 4 m2 slot SSD's? There are so many to choose from..
Hi all these 3 SSD's seem to be the same price roughly (for the 2TB version), now I know the MX500 is the slowest on paper but it seems like difference isn't really noticable for gaming specifically? But since the prices are pretty close is it worth just getting the P3 Plus?
I just bought this, entered the key on steam and downloaded it. It just says coming 10th Feb and the play button is greyed out so it will be live then.
Which version on CD Keys do you get?
Hogwarts Legacy PC + Bonus (Europe & North America) (£37.89)
Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition + Bonus PC (Europe & North America) (£45.59)
Hogwarts Legacy PC (£48.99)
I did disable quite a few things in the advanced properties of the adapter. I changed one setting then did the bufferbloat test to see if it made any difference.
The majority of the settings I changed were related to power saving/green ethernet/EEE/disabling flow/disabling offload.
Some of...
Exactly! I downloaded a 70GB game in like 13 minutes, was averaging around 100mb/s compared to 5mb/s before! It's like going from dialup to ADSL again :D
Yeah we could have gone for a 500mb package that was the same price as our 50mb package which would have been a no brainer but..for £16 more to...
Awesome! It really is something. I find myself just downloading things to see the speeds lol. Very helpful to use with my Xbox Series S as the hard drive fills up fast, so with this speed I can just download/play/uninstall most games without worrying as they download in no time at all.
Roughly...
I was recently put on Zen's FTTP package, I get 6 ping, 950mb download, 110 upload. So I can't complain, I was having major doubts though after reading some horror stories but this is definitely area dependant at the moment. Hopefully they sort their network out for those problem areas.
Yeah true, alright I'm planning to just run one switch per ethernet port, so one switch downstairs by the TV for firestick/tv/console, then 1 in each office, that uses all 4 ports on the router but every room with device is covered then
I just need to measure and estimate what length cable I...
Looking at the TP Link TL-SG108, seems good enough. Good suggestion thank you, probably not needed though I don't think.
Would it be possible to daisy chain switches too?
For example, a switch in the bedroom (which is above the living room/router so it would be the first stop) which then could...
I know you have and I am thankful for that. I have not ignored the advice; I wanted to test different setups to see if one may have worked in my situation as everyone has a different house layout etc. On the off chance that a simple WiFi setup would have been ok. That is all.
I have not lost out...
That makes sense thanks for the explanation. Part of me wants to test things out myself so I can learn and do some trial/error. I've learned some things which is cool.
Yeah I don't really have a place in the hallway upstairs to place an AP so there's no midway point for one. It's either...
