I'm looking for a used subwoofer for my study (about 2.5m square). It's for listening to (mainly) music from my PC. I have some used Monitor Audio speakers for a 5.1 setup: 4 x Radius 90s and a Radius 180, and will be connecting them to a Sony STR-DN1030 which will be arriving from eBay in the...
That looks the right shape, but only 2.1 as you say.
There are a few "mini" AVR's on Amazon, in the £150-200 price range. I've never heard of the manufacturers, so have no idea if they are any good.
I've had a Cambridge Soundworks DTT2200 5.1 speaker system for years. They sound OK, but are limited by the tiny size of the speakers.
I listen to a lot of music in my study (and don't do gaming). I prefer to listen to it with a surround effect, as I find it more immersive. I was wondering...
Thanks. In the end I bit the bullet and removed the SSD (and graphics card). Finally got to the BIOS.
I then downloaded an updated BIOS from the Gigabyte site (in case my BIOS had become corrupted), but could not get it to install using the efiflash.exe utility from the site. It took me several...
In preparation for an upgrade to Windows 11, I have converted my Windows 10 boot drive (M.2 MVMe SSD) from MBR to GPT, using the mbr2gpt.exe Windows tool. I then tried to reboot into BIOS (B450 Aorus Elite, Ryzen 7 2700X), to switch to UEFI boot mode, but I cannot get to the BIOS as the machine...
The CPU is a 2700X. Looks like the Seasonic is discontinued, and the earliest I can get any PSU delivered from the site is Tuesday. Not sure I want to wait 4+ days to have my machine back :0(
The PSU on my PC has just died (Corsair CX600). Can anyone recommend a decent replacement for it, as that model has now been discontinued?
Specs are:
B450 Aorus Elite
32GB RAM
Ryzen 7
Geforce GTX 1660 Super 6GB Twin Fan
4 x SATA drives
NVMe SSD
I don't do any gaming - just productivity type...
No PS/2 ports on the machine, and I've tried 2 different USB keyboards. With the 2nd keyboard I seem to be able to get it to boot if I hit the Enter key then wait quite a few seconds. So maybe all's not lost. It would be great to lose those error messages though.
Thanks for the reply. I had already come across that manual - it looks like a slightly different board (and doesn't refer to the two pairs of jumpers labelled CMOS_HW1 and CMOS_HW2.
I've just tried removing the battery, waited half an hour, and rebooted. Unfortunately it hasn't resolved my...
I need to reset the CMOS on a Lenovo Thinkcentre M58, but I'm not sure which jumper to use, and I can't find the correct manual for the motherboard.
I've located three sets of jumpers:
BIOS_WP / THER_HD - these are 3 pins aligned in an "L" shape
CMOS_HW1 - a set of 3 pins
CMOS_HW2 - a set of 3...
Not sure which setting you're referring to, but there's this one:
Disc Topology
Whole Home Wi-Fi automatically decides the best network topology based on signal strength. In some environments, other factors may result in better performance with a daisy chain topology.
You can use this setting to...
I have no idea. I'd like to think that the system is smart enough to use an ethernet backhaul if all discs are cabled up?
BTW I've also sent a query to the BT support guys. No response yet....
