    Windows Update KB5034441 install error

This update still tries and fails to install when checking for updates a week later. I'm trying the hide windows update tool to keep it out of sight, out of mind.

    Windows Update KB5034441 install error

Since Tuesday, windows update KB5034441 has been lingering like a bad smell and refusing to install on my W10 system. Anyone else here have this issue? It appears to be widespread and the only solutions involve resizing partitions or ignoring it and hope MS fixes it.

Worth buying an AW3423DWF or waiting for new monitors?

I found this thread https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/vertical-line-through-middle-of-screen.18970422/ and it looks like the same issue, but compared to the posted image, it's much less pronounced on my screen . It does seem turning Dark Stabilizer to 0 does clear it, but so did turning...

Worth buying an AW3423DWF or waiting for new monitors?

The button combo above doesn't seem to work for me. While gaming today I noticed a feint vertical line running right down the centre of my screen, as though one half of the screen is fractionally darker than the other. I dont understand how this could be, I only game in fullscreen mode and...

    The AMD Driver Thread

After recently upgrading to a 7800XT I just reinstalled the Adrenalin installer after intially opting for a minimal install and I'm impressed by it's full features.

    The AMD Driver Thread

I upgraded from a GTX1060 to a 7800XT yesterday and the process has been smooth so far. I did opt for the Minimal install of Adrenaline and regret it though because its mnore basic than I thought, I can't even define profiles for individual games. What's the best way to install the full version...

Worth buying an AW3423DWF or waiting for new monitors?

Is there an option in the OSD to see the uptime of the screen? My screen has the latest M3B104 firmware and I cant find it anywhere. I haven't been prompted to run the pixel refresh either though I did decide to run it manually. Alienware bloatware (command centre) was installed on my system...

Worth buying an AW3423DWF or waiting for new monitors?

Yeah got mine direct from dell for a good price, offer is still up by the way, and three years warranty is pretty decent. Silly question but if I switch the screen off via the small power button, it is not in standby mode so will not perform it's maintenance tasks right? Have to admit I ddint...

Worth buying an AW3423DWF or waiting for new monitors?

I took delivery of one of these today. Never owned a fancy monitor and decided to take advantage of a good sales price. Wow I'm thoroughly impresssed. Despite being Alienware, the design is sleek and subtle and the image quality of the oled panel is outstanding for someone like me who's never...

Black Friday/cyber Monday - what would count as worth buying?

Can a 7800XT push 3440x1440? Is there any difference between a card like the cheapest Saphire Pulse and Nitro other than the obvious cooling capacity?

    AM5 Slow Boot times

I just took the plunge and updated my motherboard bios  My motherboard is the Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX. I was on the original F1 bios, now updated to F4b (released on the 21/02/23) Boot times are much better now with EXPO enabled. I've only done two or three boot ups so far so the...

    AM5 Slow Boot times

In task manager it states about 34 seconds on a slow boot up. Actual time from power on to desktop is more like a minute though. At default memory speeds it states around 12-15 seconds, which still seems slow to be honest.

    AM5 Slow Boot times

Yes in my case. With memory at default it still happens but much less often

    AM5 Slow Boot times

Just turned on my pc now and it felt like even longer than usual to reach windows. I should have done more research before my upgrade. If I had known this was an issue with amd I'd have gone intel

    AM5 Slow Boot times

That's my drive too :) My ram is TeamGroup Vulcan EXPO 32GB (2X16GB) DDR5 PC5-48000C38 6000MHz From the moment I hit the power button to seeing windows desktop is about 58 seconds  (about 35 seconds no video signal before the mobo Aorus logo appears) I do have windows fast start up...

    AM5 Slow Boot times

Slow boot up only occurs every 10-14 days with the memory set to default speeds but every time when Expo profile is applied. I do have two HDDs in the system, will try without them. Enabling "Memory Context Restore" in bios does speed things up but its not worth it for the system instability...

    Your Backup codes - Important

The 2FA for this forum is nagging me too often. When I sign in its supposed to allow access for 90 days before asking again but if I go just a week or so without visiting the forum I have to go through the process again.

    AM5 Slow Boot times

Since building a new AM5 system couple of months ago (7600X, Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX, 32GB DDR5, WD NVMe 1TB) the boot times have been incredibly slow, much slower than even my previous intel 2500K build. On every cold boot up, the system performs a memory training cycle (RAM diagnostic...
