Hi, just put my new setup together and realised I needed to use a 4 to 8 pin adapter. I have a Corsair tx750 and just installed a ASUS z490-f board. what do you reckon? boots fine, voltages look good but not keen on adapters

Hi, just putting mine together, am I right in thinking that if I put 2 NVME drives in this then the PCIX drops to 8x? not very clear in the manual cheers

Hi Bellows, what made you go for this board? I’ve got my list down to 3 but finding it difficult to choose, currently thinking about the Asus, gigabyte aurus ac and msi tomahawk. All z490 any tips would be appreciated and I can’t make a decision.

Thanks for all your replies and advice, Got a 1060 and a couple of SSD’s in RAID and overclocked the CPU to 4ghz and the RAM up too. It’s pretty fast and now I’ve ironed our the bugs I’m beginning the journey again. Thanks again.

You think that a 1060 wouldn’t run at 4K without some stuff turned off? I think I need to study some more, all I wanted to do was buy a GFX card hahaha
