To be really honest with you I would slacken the component spec off a little and invest more so in a larger better spec monitor. If you are working on images and using photo shop etc a good quality monitor is the bit of the PC you actually look at so in my opinion that is what I would invest...

5770 is the best choice for you. Best card for the money on the market.

So you are actually getting a display on boot just when it gets to windows ? Is it a fresh install ? What OS are you using ?

5770 in my opinion is the best value card to buy at the moment.
