    WD SN550 1tb NVME

Well, it's all installed, blimey it's tiny. Had some fun and games getting it to boot after cloning though, everything seemed to go ok, restart, into bios, select new drive as first boot, f10 enter. no boot drive please restart and select etc. Reselect original SSD, boot, format, re clone...

    PC Won't Shut Down

Curious, just to revive this but did you get to the bottom of it? I had a similar issue which turned out to be a faulty GPU. Exactly as you describe, wouldn't shut down or restart, swapped out the GPU and all was as it should be.

    WD SN550 1tb NVME

Any reason not to get one at just over a hundred quid? Boot drive and whatever, no heavy anything, general usage mainly. Or should I be looking at something else around £100?

    GPU or PSU?

I'm convinced it was a faulty GPU as it would fall over at idle presumably when it would be drawing no power to speak of. I could also sometimes run GPU benchmarks with no problems, so if it was solely power related you'd expect it to crash then but it didn't.

    GPU or PSU?

Right then, I hate those threads that report a problem and then never post up if they ever get an answer. So, with that in mind, I did get an answer to this problem and it was indeed a faulty GPU. I type this with a shiny new GPU in the rig with no problems thus far. Another RX570 8GB just a...

    What GPU

Not really no. As soon as I put it in the system it starts playing up. Won't shut down properly, or at all. Won't restart unless you mash the reset button a few times and will randomly drop out and freeze. It's really odd because I can sometimes get in and run a GPU bench with no issues but as...

    What GPU

Just a matter of seeing what turns up now. So frustrating the 570 won't work.

    What GPU

Having to send my Sapphire RX570 Nitro 8gb back as I just can't get it to work, so 2600X @ 4Ghz 16GB Ram @ 3200 MSI Gaming Max whats a nice sub £100 GPU, I'm not a great gamer anymore so doesn't need to be all singing etc, mostly streaming with the odd gaming session once in a while. Don't...

    PSU For this

Yes, which is what I currently have but I'm having some issues and it's either the GPU or PSU and I've no real way of elimination testing sadly

    GPU or PSU?

I'm gonna try powering the gpu separately, is all I can try at the moment. We'll see how it goes.

    GPU or PSU?

Its a very old card, doesn't even have an external power input, so powered only by the PCI slot. Watts calculator says 264W for my system at base so 'should' be plenty of overhead and its a quality PSU.

    GPU or PSU?

So, having issues with a new build, constant crashes, failing to boot etc. MSI Gaming Pro Max (or B450 A pro max for testing) AMD 2600X (or 1500X for testing) 16GB (2x8 Corsair ) 5x570 8gb Nitro Seasonic 500W psu Couldn't get it to run very well at all and had a lot of trouble...

    MSI RYzen Start up issues

Haven't tried gameboost...or did I...I might have actually because it bumps it up to 4.2 I think. Yes I'm sure I tried that and still the same.

    MSI RYzen Start up issues

Bios, cleared cmos and tried, no dice. Chipset drivers not relevant when it fails to post I'd have thought but latest from MSI anyway. Tried 1 stick, then the other, no dice. PSU is new, with minimal load watt checker says 268 watts. I'd have thought it's enough really. Tried 2 different...

    MSI RYzen Start up issues

Just tried it out of the case, still doing it. Somethings not happy with it, never had this much trouble from a build before. It just makes no sense. Oh well, hopefully I can send them back. Are x570 boards any better for reliability/compatibility with Ryzen. Seems B450s are a bit of a...
