Just got my replacement, M0B204 and august 2023 build date, I guess this is the latest. Also refreshing to experience the monitor again, and this time with no burn in.
Doing a replacement for the aw3423dw, in the email they asked me to have my old monitor ready when the delivery comes to exchange the replacement for the old one. So I guess they changed the service, pretty annoying as I would prefer them waiting a day before getting my old monitor to exchange...
Windows 10, HW accel is disabled. Also it occurs in the Microsoft photos app version 2023.11100.11002.0 when viewing picture files in full screen the FPS dips.
Edit: Turning HW accel on fixes the issue. On the Microsoft photo app side, the issue still occurs. I found it happens often...
Maybe this got fixed in newer drivers, but with the 23.10.1 driver one thing that annoys me is the framerates plummets to like 30-15 fps when ever I use full screen in the chrome browser. This also happens when using full screen on static pictures using the windows photo app. This only...
Updated to latest driver 23.9.1 from 23.8.1. Now my gpu is consuming more power on idle using the adaptive sync compatible setting. Turning on adaptive sync also now increases GPU BRD PWR.
Display is AW3423DW.
GPU 7900xt
Previous driver adaptive sync = 18W
Now with adaptive sync= 55W
Now...
Not working. But even with Nvidia card I don't use G sync cause of the VRR flicker so I guess not a big deal. But hoping newer AMD drivers would fix it though.
Using a dark grey background, I noticed I got some slight burn in. Thoughts on using the burn in warranty? Even if its still a little burn in do they accept?
What was the fix? Anyway on the AMD software version 23.7.2, on gaming>Display I can enable and disable the adaptive sync compatible setting but it does not effect the aw3423dw which is a G sync ultimate display.
Display port cable. Using the nvidia pendulum demo and some games to test. I know when Freesync is on because of the VRR flicker.
Edit: I think Freesync is currently bugged with the rdna 3 cards on the latest amd gpu drivers. In a twist of irony, I managed to activate freesync using the...
Freesync doesn't work. The setting is called adaptive sync compatible in the Adrenalin software. Turning it on or off does not seem to change anything.
Just tried safe mode, the G sync turns off to normal on the OSD. So something in the drivers is causing the issue. So I guess the monitor version is safe for now.
So I switched to AMD from NVidia, but apparently G sync isn't working on the AW3423DW. G sync appears turned on in the OSD but it appears off when seeing it in motion using the nvidia pendulum demo. Also there is no way to interact with the G sync on the monitor, like I can't turn it off...
First time going AMD after constant Nvidia. This is how I will do it:
Download amd drivers
Uninstall afterburner
Uninstall nvidia drivers using normal method
Restart
use DDU to further clear all Nvidia drivers.
Remove Nvidia GPU
Install AMD GPU
Install the AMD drivers I have saved to file
Restart
