    Decent Backup Software?

I also would recommend Macrium. The reason I bought it is because its got a great feature called intelligent sector copy. This means I can create a clone of a drive and take it offsite. If, for example I have five drives off-site, when one comes back instead of doing a full clone and copying the...

Where to get size 13 shoes

Bit of a "Freudian slip" there perhaps!? What did you do last time you went to a BOWLING alley!? ;) I'm size 12 sometimes 13 and occasionally a 14 -- depending on the brand. I buy mostly from the rainforest as they have the sizes and returns are free ! I'm a skinflint though and wouldn't pay...

    Florida theme park tickets

We enjoyed it, worth the money for a couple of hours, it's bigger than it looks when you're walking around. The little boarded walk through the swamp & tall tree was great. Watched the gator wrestling show too which was fun. Didn't do the zip line, but it looks great... Zipping over the...

    Florida theme park tickets

It was in Sea World and I just looked it up now and its called the Dolphin Encounter. You only get a few minutes, and you will be in a group with others, but you will each get a chance to get close to the dolphin and stroke it. Its brief, but well worth it. For us, they seperated the group...

    Florida theme park tickets

Haven't read through the entire thread but we went April this year. We also didn't need all the parks and we hadn't planned each day, so left it until we arrived to buy tickets. We got them from Maple Leaf Tickets in Kissimmee.. They were great value and the guy working there was really...

Broken fans on MSI R9 290X - what options do I have

Well, I finally got around to fitting the new fans and things are looking a whole lot better. I used the Grizzly paste but wish I'd also bought some Grizzly pads aswell so I could replace the existing ones. Anyway, no real issues doing it, but getting one of the fan cables to fit was tricky...

Broken fans on MSI R9 290X - what options do I have

Couldn't see any damage and found them lying at the bottom of the case. No idea when it happened though.

Broken fans on MSI R9 290X - what options do I have

Well, I went for the cheaper option and ordered some replacement fans from China. Only took 9 days to arrive so I was pleasantly surprised. Just ordered some Thermal Grizzly too since I have to reseat the heatsink anyway, so aiming to replace them this week. Fingers crossed :)

Broken fans on MSI R9 290X - what options do I have

Thanks, will look into that too. I do have the space for the aio but was planning on using that for the cpu and not gpu. Saying that though, the cpu runs at a good temperature.. I hadn't realised that, gotta be worth a punt :)

Broken fans on MSI R9 290X - what options do I have

I've had the MSI R9 290X GAMING 4G LE since last February and was happy with it. In the last couple of months or so I've begun to hear the fans more and more, even though I'm only doing the same things as before. It got to the point over the last week or so where its so noisey its getting...

MSI 390 Thermal Paste causing Heat Issues. Replaced

Thanks, I'll take it out tonight and have a look but I'm hoping there should be little to no dust as I have fan filters on the incoming fans, but will see. Perhaps the cooler is getting looser..who knows :)

MSI 390 Thermal Paste causing Heat Issues. Replaced

Wondering if any of you can help me with my MSI R9 290X LE, as this seems relevant. I've been running it fine for 11 months and never heard the fan at all. In the last few weeks, the fan is running loudly and I can see temps of up to 90C even when I'm not gaming and the fan is running flat...

Sky Diving For Charity (Should I Sponsor?)

Totally agree with the OP. I can't believe the gall of some people... Actually asking you to pay for the jump!! he should be ashamed of himself. Any costs should be paid by the organiser. I have seen this done by gaining sponsorship from local companies who are told their money will go...

    What benchmarks to use

Well, I've finally built my first new machine in 8 years and I'm very impressed... Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 Devils Canyon Core i7 4790K CPU MSI Radeon R9 290X LE Gaming Edition 4096MB I've installed Win 8.1 64 fine and now before I go too much further I'd like to do some benchmarks -- nothing...

Replace my 8 year old machine - £1000ish

Well, its finally built and I'm very impressed... Certainly there was no need to worry about fan noise, these new fangled fans are very very quiet. :D I've installed Win 8.1 64 fine and now before I go too much further I'd like to do some benchmarks -- nothing too crazy, just really to check...
