Are we expecting B550 itx boards to be available straight away on June 16th? My PC broke and needs a new rebuild in ITX form factor. I was going to go for b450 as I'd only want b550 for PCI 4.0 support (if it is expected to be useful in the next few years) as I'm unlikely to upgrade to zen 3...
Yep I did, no dice. Tried various diagnostics on the motherboard too e.g. tripping the power switch with a screwdriver etc. Nothing happens, not even the start of the CPU fan or an attempt to POST which makes it hard to determine which other parts are broken. I have a multimeter too if you know...
Hey gang, my computer bit the dust which means it's time for me to upgrade. It looks like motherboard is fried and not sure what other parts along with it (I don't have replacement parts to test with, but I believe my gtx 970 is still salvageable).
Is it worth holding out for the ryzen 4000...
Hi all,
I would appreciate a compatibility check on this as it's my first build from scratch so I'm not sure I've done everything right. ************ uk doesn't throw up any compatibility issues but I just want to be sure. Parts were chosen as I need a very small case so I won't be overclocking...
Sorry, not the OP but just gonna jump in here while I can.
Would external sounds card work as well to reduce latency? I ask because the case I'm looking to build into is mini itx form factor that has no space for another expansion slot once I add in the graphics card. I'm looking to use the...
I've owned both the edifier 1600ts and the microlab solo 6c's and the microlab one wins hands down. The sound quality in my opinion was much more clear and powerful compared to edifier one which felt kind of muffled and weak.
The solo 6c is a bit more expensive though. Can't vouch for the 1c...
What's the difference between 'likely' and 'expected' in this case?
Anyhow, hoping for a rMBP refresh at a decent price (:p) because I plan to purchase one soon after the new year.
so I just saw the lenovo yoga 2 pro with a 3200*1800 display. A stones throw away from 4k at 13.3 inch...
and a damn sight bigger resolution than conventional monitors.
I'm not surprised the guy who came up with this Dave Hakkens is a designer and thus is likely lacking very basic knowledge of electrical engineering.
This is a very very very very difficult concept due to the requirements of each of the different parts. Imagine sticking your CPU in your ram...
What's your price range? It's easier to achieve greater colour and clarity on standard TV's so if you want something to match up to this and be 'decent' it could end up costing you a pretty penny (and forcing you to play in the dark).
I feel like a more concerted effort would be made to make scaling work properly if high-res displays were more readily and cheaply available but that'll take time
There are some work arounds in the time being
Oh I agree there would be very little benefit from a 24 inch 4k but I definitely feel there's an improvement here from having a 27inch 4k display compared to the current 30 inch+ 4k's and 1440p's stand to benefit from a slight decrease in size to 24 inch (from my own experience with 27 inch...
