The way I see it, there are several criteria affected by what I use.
How bad is each for the environment (plastic is in the news but how much resource is involced with digging up tin), what is better for flavor (will the plastic leak, will I get heavy metal poisoning?), what is most cost...
I have a pair of 'Auritech' plugs. Reusable washable etc. I used them for clay pigeon too so they do the job. They allow speech through but loud noises get muffled. Worth the investment imo!

Plus it's just bike control which you can only really learn by yourself. There's no telematics you can't see if you've got too much throttle or too little clutch. It either feels right or it doesn't.
Reversing round corners is mostly unsafe and there's little reason to do it in real life. 3/5 point turns must slow up traffic, I've certainly done them in real life though.
