Hello
I've got 2 ISPs and 2x mini NUC style mini pcs with dual NICs.
one ISP per box
box 1 - 192.168.1.1 (dhcp server)
box 2 - 192.168.1.2 static ip
they share 8 VLANs and the two broadbands service the vlans and lan via this "split manual policy based routing"
It works fine but i do have...
Adding the additional lines were the ticket to getting this working
set protocols static table 13 interface-route 0.0.0.0/0 next-hop-interface eth1
set protocols static table 14 interface-route 0.0.0.0/0 next-hop-interface eth0
set protocols static table 15 interface-route 0.0.0.0/0...
Hi all,
I've attempted to get PBR working and it's been a confusing experience.
I've set it up as follows:
set protocols static table 11 interface-route 0.0.0.0/0 next-hop-interface eth0
set protocols static table 12 interface-route 0.0.0.0/0 next-hop-interface eth1
set firewall group...
Hi all, I've got a working setup with VLANs but the dashboard does not accurately show how much data is flowing between the WAN and the VLANs.
Also Traffic Analysis does not seem to log data transfered accurately at all. eg ive downloaded a 1.1GB iso from my PC and it only registers 7.86MB of...
Gonna give this another go today with a slightly different approach.
Going to use the wizard to create a load balanced pppoe setup but change the default network to something else and then add the 1.1 network as vlan 1 and this should fix the issue i was having before with vlans not working
OK so turns out I did forget to add pppoe0 to the NAT masquerade rule.
I did this and the rest from my OP and it did kinda work with issues. I think the MTU is not right as vlans are not working and some sites are breaking.
I've lowered the MTU by 8 and tested each time but its just not...
I've given this a few tries now and think I'm going to use the wizard as mentioned and if that doesnt work just restore my current setup.
need to make a note of all my static IPs and VLANs before breaking stuff lol
Will post back with the results
I added pppoe0 interface to the existing rules.
I added it to the loadbalance/failover.
I double checked this just now and for some reason its not even picking up the ipaddress now.
just to be clear, im bypassing the bt hub altogether and doing straight to the fibre/ethernet point on the wall...
Hi all,
I've just had FTTP installed and will now be using my 5G connection as a failover.
The BT hub does not support bridge mode so I want to bypass the hub and take the line direct to the ERX (was suggested to me on another platform).
I like this idea as its one less box to power and less...
Turns out the daughterboard is to blame here.
i pulled the pi out of the case and went direct to hdmi and it worked without any issue.
it will remain a headless box lol
Hi all,
having some trouble with hdmi out signal on one of my Pi4b's
have been using the pi headless in an argon one case for over a year. (I have 2 of these, pi4b plus argon one case).
One of the Pi4b's in argon one case is not working / no signal after post
I have a pi400 which i have been...
I've had a look in task manager and the alloted cores are all in use for the emulation so i think its best i stick with the 10th gen as the daily work horse haha
I have both machines so yes a role swap was on the cards as i technically push the server harder "at times" but i think the android...
its a 30mm embedded fan which i dont think ill be able to replace and theres zero headroom space so i think any replacement is still going to be whiney :(
do you think 75c is too hot for this?
I'll try popping the lid off and see if that brings it down a bit
I've gona ahead and unplugged the fan.
temps are steady @ 75c
proxmox
1 vm running
2 containers running
1core @100% running folding at home
The system is never going to be pushed harder than this so im quite happy at this point.
yeah so the hp is running proxmox and the dell is my current daily driver.
i've got upto three machines running proxmox to make up for the lack of memory so was thinking swapping these two might mean i can turn the others off or repurpose them.
think ill just leave things as they are and just...
Thinking about unplugging the fan in this mini pc I have.
This units fan kicks in sometimes even when idle. its not loud but its super whiney and i can hear it even with over the ear headphones on.
i've tried running the unit on its side as some other owners have suggested but it's even more...
Hi all,
I've got a Dell optiplex 3080 mini and a HP elitedesk 800 G2 mini and am thinking about swaping their roles. Both have sata and nvme on board. Both support three monitors which i use most of the time.
Have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with.
TDP - when both systems are...
