Would this be a stupid first bike?

I used to have a CBR600F. Used it for daily commute, and ride outs with mates at the weekend. All round good design, engine is bullet proof, and can be ridden as slow or hard as you like. Cost me ~ £200 tpft insurance including legal cover, saying that I was over 30 when I had it :P

    What qualifications do you have??

Didn't fail any GCSE's, but think my highest grade was C in maths (was a long time ago). Basically couldn't be arsed through my teen years into my twenties, spent my time partying and off my head, but meeting my wife and having kids etc gave me incentive to get a career and qualifications...

    Eating breakfast at work

Where I work (about 70-80 people) we operate flexi-time working. Core hours are 9-12 and 2-4. Anyone who works outside of the manufacturing area, i.e. technical staff, HR, finance, etc etc, is entitled to eat at their desk, this includes drinks when you feel like it. What it does mean is you are...

Huge Police Motorcycle Convoy on M6 South This Morning

Drove from Newport, Wales, home to Devon this afternoon, and saw a load of police bikes, not all in police uniform, going up the M5 around Bridgewater. Then 5 minutes later saw what must have been 40+ police bikes with marked cars at either end of the convoy with blue lights on in the fast lane...

    Unlocking 6950

Have you followed the links in the stickied thread? I recently purchased the HIS ATI Radeon HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2048MB and was thinking of trying, but decided not to bother in the end... following the links in that thread, it seemed pretty straight forward to me.

    o2 Opinions?

I had this problem a couple of years back, and it turned out that I had a line fault. Do you get noise on the line, have your tried the quiet line test? (Dial 17070 and select option 2) Unfortunately when I had the fault O2 washed there hands because at the time I did not have O2 home phone...

    o2 Opinions?

Been with them for at least 3 years now, and the service is brilliant. I am lucky enough to be on the legacy LLU service, so I get truly unlimited, and my connection is 17-18Meg. I also have my phone with them. Recently I was tempted to go to Sky for phone & internet, but upon contacting O2 for...

Polish/Eastern European cuisine - any fans?

From the ops post the pork mince dish sounds and looks fairly appetising, however, the thought of pigs knuckle is off putting, but looks bearable.

    Rear ended yesterday :(

I think people are missing the wider point here.... what is your gf doing in Paris, why aren't you there :P On a more serious note, I got rear ended by a woman driver distracted by her dog which was sat on the passenger seat, but I digress. Although at first glance there appeared to be no...

Q6600 overclock - applied to only 2 cores?

Good show old bean... What multiplier / clock speed have you set, and what RAM type and settings are you using? Would be greatly appreciated :) I was running at 3.2GHz, 8*400MHz, but was unsure of how high I could push the vcore, and every so often the overclock would fail and reset on boot...

Q6600 overclock - applied to only 2 cores?

@Barno I would be interested to know your BIOS settings, as I have a similar Mobo / CPU setup and am thinking of overclocking. Did have a try ages ago, but gave up due to lack of time. TIA.
