Good luck with that, they aren't even properly honouring queue positions. I ordered a 5800 and Paypal was authed at 14:11, I'm 311th in a queue of 311. Well, I was until querying it with them resulted in an "if you don't like it, cancel the order" response.
So companies need to resort to scalping in order to pay their costs? Plus all of these companies are impossible to get hold of so they don't appear to be investing any of this money in CS staff, which is standard. Easier to put up a permanent message with something vague about higher than normal...
I think it really just comes down to competency. Notice how all the other companies give excuses which literally sound like something you come up with when you need to hide how badly you have messed up? NVIDIA came out the gates first supposedly not knowing their new cards would be in high...
I got that copy/paste response to questions I emailed them. So I've replied asking how exactly I'm last after 11 minutes and how is it that I managed to be exactly the last person to order? I'm not after a free pony or anything just a "sorry, it looks like we messed up your position" starting to...
Anyone order a 5800x from the "other" store and if so what time? I think their site broke and has put me at the back of the queue, unless they really did clear all stock in under 10 minutes....
Something clearly fell over on their website, unlike the RTX launch I didn't get my order properly processed until the next day. I'm apparently at the back of the 5800x queue despite ordering in the first 10 minutes.... none of these sites can even handle 100s of orders in that timeframe.
There seems to be quite limited feedback on the noise levels from owners so far(probably because they are scarce) - I have however seen more people complain about the noise than say it's acceptable though.
They are quite loud and the fan makes a very distinct noise making it even more...
I was recently lucky enough to pickup a 3080 FE.
The only issue is it's far too loud for my liking, so I was looking to remedy that.
I've spent a while reading up on watercooling as it's not something I have any experience with. It currently appears like the only option is to look at setting...
There was £700 EVGAs up the other day. I got a 3080 FE the minute it became available last week thanks to the NVIDIA discord. A link was posted that allowed a lot of people to bypass the NVIDIA website altogether.
"A quick google search" also shows all the news articles featuring words like "rumored" and "allegedly" if you want to try and be clever about this.
Also using biased words just makes you sound childish. All of these companies are incredibly profit-driven so let's not try and pretend otherwise.
I'd hazard a guess because it's completely anecdotal at this point and so the main thing it's likely to do is wind up people already waiting for a card, thinking by the time they get it something that hasn't even been confirmed true will supercede it.
If it isn't anecdotal, please provide a...
I'd imagine there's plenty of 4 and 5 star reviews on the basis OCUK shipped on the day of purchase and chose a semi-competent courier to balance it out. That seems to be most people's benchmark of what makes a good shop even though you would think it would be the minimum you would expect.
