Hey all just spent 8hrs or so today building my new rig ASUS tuf gaming x570 plus with 5800x and suffered a lot of the same problems would only boot as far as the ASUS splash screen but f2 or delete did nothing. I removed the m.2 drive and the Sata drives still no luck getting into the bios...
theresome pretty good vids on youtube about taking apart a founders edition, if I remember some even used needle nose pliers to remove the standoffs from the back of the card

Althought I might add with the YouTube bug my 7970 a couple of times failed to go above 500mhz in game ( BF3 and Dirt 3) and without fraps running I dare say I wouldn't have really noticed anything wrong. Someone please give us games to stress these cards ( at 1080 p)
Just wondering why OC3d haven't reviewed the 670? Was it because they dared to suggest that there was nothing between the 680 and 7970 in the 680 review?
Gigabyte windforce 7970 barely breaks 60C even when heavily overvolted/overclocked although at the expense of noise at max oc, think the default fan profile is a little over cautious. Can't complain about the performance though, I would advise looking in the 670 thread at the user experienced...
I'd be interested in this too, I really struggled to get my Gigabyte 7970 anywhere near these scores, often being bested by 7950s, best I can get is 80.4fps(core at 1200mhz)
Chieftec something or other, 9 yrs or so, rig just about to be relocated to a corsair 500r (will keep the old case and do a build from bits i've got lying about not sure what for but I've always fancied doing a mame build)
I've got one on my 6970, couldn't stand the noise and heat (mine was 90oC under load). It's certainly not silent, much quieter though, but the effect on temps was amazing idle running 2xmonitors from 60oC to 40oC and under load to between 50-60oC.
