Its getting on in years now but I have a Microsoft Sidewinder X8. It is big, heavy, and wireless if that is your thing. It is still a fantastic mouse as far as I am concerned but you can't buy them new anymore
"NVIDIA drivers guarantee that the new GT 710 will handle all games, new and old with issue"
I have to assume the above is meant to say without issue? ... or maybe not!
slightly different case but I have run a macbook (OS X 10.9) with an external USB3 (UASP supported) SSD. It performed very well with no issues that i noticed. Thunderbolt should be even better in theory
Currently using ducky year of the dragon edition (red switches) with a steelseries sensei wireless mouse. Up until recently I was using a sidewinder X8 for the mouse (which I loved) but the right click broke so unfortunately it had to go
My Cousins had one go in a very similar way, tripped the circuit breaker too. They then had a few goes at switching it back on (it went "pop" on every occasion) before they called me. New PSU and it was fine - no damage to any of the other components. Unless it surged, which is unlikely, you...
Your components will only draw as much power as they need - so your electric costs should stay more or less the same. The wattage listed for a PSU only denotes the maximum it is able to provide - it does not draw that all the time.
Depending on the efficiency rating of your current PSU you...
true - but I didn't want another fan... the point of full watercooling (for me) is quiet lol. That and it would have looked rubbish through the window :P
This post is a slight tangent so I will keep it short. I think that EK's notice just means that it cools all of the same components that the stock solution cools, not that it cools with the same efficiency.
I have also water cooled by Rampage IV extreme. In my case, due to my cooling design...
The 128gb crucial Mx100 is currently on a this week only deal at ocuk for 51.98. If I were you I would go with that. It is far and away your best option here.
Just thought I would chime in on this for some clarification (could be read nitpicking...). Both the cable that foster grant linked to and the cable that Nexus18 linked to are DVI-D (DVI Digital). The difference is that the one in Foster's link is only single link where as the picture that Nexus...
The XTX is 64mm thick while the PE is 38mm thick. The extra surface area will in theory mean better cooling potential for the XTX.
The XTX has much less FPI (fins per inch) meaning it is should perform better with lower speed fans than the PE
They are made of slightly different materials...
So you did, apologies for missing that.
3 grains of rice sounds like a bit too much, but something else is amiss here I think. It sounds like mounting pressure / contact is probably OK if the paste has spread out well.
I take it 1.32v is what you have set in the bios. What does something...
one thing - be careful taking gentle typhoons apart. They are easy to actually dismantle but the circlips will fly for miles unless you have some sort of powerful magnet / blockade nearby to stop them. It's no good taking them apart if you can't put them back together...
On my first attempt I...
Air wouldn't affect temps that much... I would ask if the pump is working properly but your idle temps indicate it probably is.
Did you peel the clear film off the bottom of the CPU block? I had your symptoms once and had forgotten to do that.
Failing that the only thing I can think of is...
Everyone will have personal preferences with fans. They all behave slightly differently depending on how they are used too. Some fans are noticibly noisier pushing air than pulling it for example. Some fans whine / produce noise at certain frequencies when undervolted etc. Basically among "high...
Speaking of complete noob errors. I recently completely stripped, modded and rebuilt the rig in my sig. When I finally put it all back together and filled it with water - I hit the on button and nothing happened - barring a small click from the PSU. I spent ages checking all the connections...
