Yes you can buy 3 pin fan splitters pretty cheaply , i can't answer your other question but best to check corsair's website and check how many watts the fan controller can take and you can find your answer through that.

I switched from corsair SP's to Thermaltake Riing's much quieter and i can run them at a higher RPM before i can hear them. circa 800-1000rom as appose to my corsair ones that i had to run at 650-700 rpm supposedly better static pressure as well.

Just Added a 360mm radiator /EK supremacy Evo Waterblock and changed all my fans to Thermaltake Riing fans Still using a 290x for now still not sure if i should pull the trigger on a 980ti or just wait for next gen now!
