Broke out the machine polisher started one side of the car only for it to start raining!!!! although it appears it's going to brighten up so I'm goingg to break out the quick detailer and get the water spots of before attempting the second half of the car!
I got lucky selling my 290x on the bay didn't have any problems , did the usual take pictures of serial numbers etc.
What i did end up having problems was selling PC fans i sold them at 2 quid each with 1 quid postage .......and had 4 that were returned and i had to pay postage back ended up...

Yes you can buy 3 pin fan splitters pretty cheaply , i can't answer your other question but best to check corsair's website and check how many watts the fan controller can take and you can find your answer through that.

Current car 2008 bought in Jan is a Cat D had light scratches to the bumper and front wing as well as a damaged fog light i saw the before pictures , car has had a full front bumper respray as well as wing fog light wasn't repaired.
I bought it because it was well under what the book price for...
Weirdly my Corsair RM750 just started making a similar noise its set up as intake through the bottom of the case and exhaust out of the case i might try flipping it over at some point i havent done the " tap fix" yet hahaha it usually stops after a few seconds or so.

I switched from corsair SP's to Thermaltake Riing's much quieter and i can run them at a higher RPM before i can hear them. circa 800-1000rom as appose to my corsair ones that i had to run at 650-700 rpm supposedly better static pressure as well.
Just Added a 360mm radiator /EK supremacy Evo Waterblock and changed all my fans to Thermaltake Riing fans
Still using a 290x for now still not sure if i should pull the trigger on a 980ti or just wait for next gen now!

My office room doesn't get any sun as well as being a very big open room it's a pretty cold room by all accounts!(blinds closed all day) only on the hottest days this year have i seen 24 degree idle on the cpu and 23-25 degree idle.
when it was winter i actually saw 14 degrees on my cpu it...
the 980ti even though it does run quieter is still going to be louder stock than my current set up.
People with air setups might think there set up is quiet till you hear a watercooled set up that's designed for silence. it's eery to begin with you can't even tell my machine is on and it's on...
