Some good pointers. Totally forgot about GamersNexus. Watched some videos and you're right. There won't likely to be any noticeable difference between 3200 and 3600, plus 2 vs 4 sticks is academic given that I do no plan to overclock and differences are not huge. Case closed I think.
The more I read the more confused I am. Now thinking about buying 4 sticks of Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G36C16U4W 3600 MHz so will end up with 32GB but @3600 and the price difference is negligible (assuming I will sell my sport LT). Thinking that this may eliminate any compatibility issues. Or am I...
Have an issue with a slow SSD (Crucial 1TB). Comparing to NVME m2 is seems to be 5x slower so makes me suspicious (tested with crystal disk). Appreciate that testing speed is not as simple as that but I discovered the issue when I moved a game to nvme m2 and there is a huge improvement. So far...
Hi guys,
I currently have 16 GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport LT BLS2K8G4D32AESCK 3200 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, CL16. I would like to expand to 32 GB but that kit is no longer available. I am on Aorus X570 AORUS ELITE mobo.
So what is the best option, performance wise (don't mind spending more on a...
Thank you all for input. My next steps will be to reset CMOS. If that does not help, I will try Windows re-install as a last resort, can't really see what else I can do.
It was listed initially as disabled and would not let me enable it, now it is not listed at all.
The led comes on when I plug in the cable. Otherwise, all components connected to the port from inside the case are under a heatsink and plastic cover so couldn't be damaged.
Hi,
would appreciate help with the problem as per the title. How do I even troubleshoot that? :confused:Previously, everything was working fine. Turned off PC, replaced GPU, turned it back on again - no connection.
Tried plugging in the very same network cable to another PC and it works fine, I...
Thanks for everyone's input. I am yet to test my RAM as this will take a bit of time. Suspect this is due to game issues, specific to each title, and not my hardware. That's what I have reached so far anyway. As an example, The Division 2 stutters in the exact same moments on my friend's PC who...
Very difficult to pinpoint the issue. Dirt Rally stutters, unplugged my joystick and TrackIR, now runs smoothly. BF1, after googling and switching to DX11 seems to be fine on ultra. It seems that every game has its own issues...
NVME is 29C. What is odd though is RAM is shown as running at 1600 MHz unless I am missing something here. Unless is shows half the rate as it is dual channel?
What would you suggest for RAM, memtest86? Looking into this further I think subnautica is just poorly optimised. I tried other games - BF1 for example achieve very high FPS but stutters at times, I think my system is not powerful enough to handle ultra. Game seems to suggest medium settings for...
Please help to identify the component responsible for this. I have tested it in Subnautica but also is seen in other games. GPU is underutilised even under low settings (loaded to as low as 0-30% while FPS is low) and causes frame drops from 140 to 40. Game is installed on SSD, also moved to...
Fantastic suggestions here, thanks. I am going to go for RX 5700 XT card as the performance decrease seems to be very small but price difference is considerable.
Monitor is yet to be decided as I am tempted to get more than 60Hz but want something with great colour accuracy. Back to research... :)
Thanks. Good point about warranty. I always have been pleased with MSI GPUs hence chosen this over anythig else.
Re PSUs- since posting I narrowed it down to RM650x or Seasonic Focus so it is comforting that you are recommending these as well.
I also looked at Ryzen 3700x prices and it...
But from the gamersnexus vidoe linked above, it seems Ryzen 3700x doesn't make much sense in terms of value for money. ATM it almost costs the same as 9700k.
