Sony A7RII
Upgrade from A7II. Quite like the grip too, makes the camera feel great in the hand. Overall A7II > A7RII feels like a much more refined beast.

This is it for me. I loved the 6D but the 6D2 but I could get way more for the money by switching to Sony or Nikon, a used A7Rii costs less than a new 6D2.
I'm not really interested in having to fork out another 3/400 for an adapter but that aside the main reason for not going Sony is the star eating issue I mentioned. Apparently Sony's noise reduction algorithm in the latest firmware will remove stars from any exposures of 4 seconds, so not ideal...
Already picked up a D810. I've used the Sony's before and aside from the battery life and lack of native f/1.4 lenses they currently exhibit a star eating issue during long exposures which is no good for astrophotography, or so I've read!
Yeah, it was definitely the most bang for buck, especially with the rumours the D850 will cost more than the 5D4. I also picked up the Sigma 24mm 1.4 and the Nikon 50mm 1.8 which should cover most things I want to photograph.
I've just been through the 6D Mark II dilemma when looking to upgrade my 6D1. Although it improved on the original 6D in every area I wanted (except IQ) it was just too much money compared to other cameras. If the price was lower I would have given it more consideration but for very similar...
Have been looking to upgrade my 6D for a while, I use it for landscape/astro work mainly but with the 5DIV being so expensive and the 6D II being the same price if not more I decided to go for a Nikon D810 with a couple of lenses. Also have a new editing setup coming tomorrow. Have previously...
Just smallish lightroom imports and editing individual files, the machine has never really blinked at anything I've tried tbh.
A high spec 13" can be had for the same price as the standard 15", it's probably the best size/power ratio for travelling. I have 2TB USB3 HDD for extra storage. I...
I have 15" RMBP, last years model base model with 16Gb RAM. Just bear in mind that the 'retina' resolution will give you quite low screen real estate, so I run mine at a slighter higher res to give me some more space but still retain that awesome look.
I've got one as well although I don't use it as much as I should. If you can work with the 28mm 2.8 lens then it absolutely delivers for stills. Bottom line, it has great ergonomics and a wide feature set, fantastic IQ and fits in your pocket.

This isn't all new but most of it is. I've got everything I need ahead of a wedding in March and more importantly my first child being born sometime this month, so as I told my missus, most of this is 'for the baby' :)
Not sure if I'll keep the A7 now that I have a 5D and some nice primes, it...
Still loving my Sony A7, its the most fun I've had with photography in a while. I think you'd be pretty comfortable with the ergonomics, Raymond. Having dials for aperture, exp comp and iso is nice. At very least you could probably use one for your tilt shift like you do the 5D2?
