    TV Licence Super Thread

Is there any other way to cancel , apart from having to ring up? There’s an online section, but it appears they want me to ring up and cancel, I find it very bizarre that I have to ring someone up just to cancel something, there’s no other service that you have to ring up to cancel…

    New Oled tv

Yes I have the s90c and the older model lg which was the C2. They are really both top TVs, there’s very little to tell them apart in terms of picture quality , but I do prefer the UI on the Samsung, probably because it’s a newer set than my C2. There are some excellent reviews for them both on...

When are you going fully electric?

I ended up going with the Engage, purely because it was cheaper than the other models, this is essentially a work / family car. My wife has an ICE and may upgrade that to something bigger if I feel its a pain on longer journeys. That's exactly one of the reasons why I ordered it, to me it looks...

When are you going fully electric?

Just wondered what people’s experiences are with using public electric chargers? Is there much availability or do you have to wait for them to be free? (Most of my drop offs will be on motorways) The reason I am asking is my new company car scheme is pushing the electric vehicles , and I would...

Company Car Scheme (Salary Sacrifice , Tusker) Vs Taking Car Allowance

Im on £45k base salary a year, plus 20% bonus a year. My salary is expected to increase next year to £50k . So right on the 40% tax band. I’m not a big fan of EV personally. How I understand it I am currently forfeiting £450 car allowance , so if I get that £450 towards the car via salary...

Company Car Scheme (Salary Sacrifice , Tusker) Vs Taking Car Allowance

£247 a month? They’ve marketed as the new company car scheme, I think they will give me my car allowance to put towards it. I don’t know how it works when you leave , the company I assume you give it back or pay some sort of termination fee?

Company Car Scheme (Salary Sacrifice , Tusker) Vs Taking Car Allowance

Hi All, So the company I work for has recently launched the new company car scheme, which is now Tusker and is offered via the salary sacrifice, which I understand saves on Tax and NI contributions. I am trying to weight up the options of what's best value for money. The options I have are :-...

    External Wall Insulation

I used to work for an EWI company, the best advice is if your planning on staying in the home for 20+ years then it’s only worth having as the payback in heating bills, is minimal.
