Somebody clearly wasn't paying attention Spotted this on my commute home. Under the car/truck there are painted lines guiding you out and away from the bollard

Used car mis-described. What recourse do I have?

Trading Standards would be the first port of call and maybe HMRC. Basically the dealer said it was a private sale in order to avoid his obligations. He knew it was a lemon. Also be have a word with DVSA about the dodgy MOT. Myself personally I'd be going down and saying either the pay to...

You can report that to DVSA if you believe they're unfit to drive. They'll be called for assessment and a decision made whether they keep their licence

How much has your council tax gone up this year?

As of Sept 2023 Wolvo had issued 56,000 taxi licences. 22,000 of them between April 2023 and August. In that period there were only 93 working days.... On March 1st 2024 Wolvo opened up a further 30,000 licences for application. Many MPs are trying desparately for a change in the law to stop...

Removing POA from someone who is unfit for the role

Thanks guys. You've all pretty much confirmed the fears we had about not being able to remove him. Getting GIL to do it is now impossible as she's already been declared with cognitive impairment (but apparently still fine to live in assisted housing rather than a full time facility) Access...

Removing POA from someone who is unfit for the role

Looking for some advice if anyone can give it. My grandma-in-law (mrs' grandma) is a dementia patient. POA was granted to her eldest son however since this happened things have gone downhill: 1. The assisted living facility she lives in had cause to involve social services and police late...

    PCN - challengeable?

A few years ago in my neck of the woods there was a road that was NSL. There was a downhill stretch then about 1/4 mile later it dropped to 30. Been this way since it was built. One Sunday the council moved the 30 signs to halfway down the hill & Monday morning the local scamera pratnership...

Legal to exceed speed limit exception?

I have previously driven at excess speed in order to get out of the way of a marked ARV on B&2s. dual carriageway, barriered down to one lane for overnight works, nowhere to pulled over to so I gunned in. 93 in a 50 till I was able to clear the works, moved over and the ARV tooted his horns and...

    Your bad driving encounters

Not my encounter but one from one of my Scottish colleagues. Witnesses say the car driver accelerated hard, crossed the kerbed central divider and straight into my colleague. Car driver arrested on scene, no remorse and as of yesterday still refusing to answer questions or explain why

Distance travelled doesn't equate to ability. The fact that you think it does highlights that your driving will most likely be poor Indeed I am a bus driver. Average, according to my Google History, is about 150 miles a day, add in my personal driving, close to 900-950 miles a week, more if...

Unfortunately You'll find the Tesla in front slowed slightly. You're the type that causes an accident, being absolutely cuckold and timid behind the wheel. As the video shows it was not safe or clear for her to move over. Her indicator flashed once before she moved over, right at the point...

    Your bad driving encounters

Had this one yesterday on my way home. Driver looked like a super-sized version of Chunk from the Goonies movie. Passed her a little further down the road, blank forward stare completely oblivious to all the others around her (she actually cut up 2 more cars after me) Sent it into plod but...

How often do you get a Dominos pizza? (Seventeen year old thread bump warning)

I like Asda's create your own & usually go there as it's closer. Morrisons is great though and will go if I'm on my way home from work Else it's either the local pizza place or Costco if we're feeding guests.

    Sleep Apnea & Driving license

We're trialling DMS on some of our buses. Ours makes a very loud sound and vibrates the driver's seat. So far the results aren't great as there have beeen onstant false alerts & driver's reporting headaches/eye strain when on the vehicles fitted with DMS.
